The following check list is intended as a guide for presentation and content investigation report. The overall mark for assessment: Lab report Oral assessment Test TITLE PAGE Please include this information on your title page: university name, faculty name, subject code and name, section and semester, name of experiment, date of experiment, submission date, supervisor name, group number, group members name and mark distribution table. ABSTRACT One (1) full page is reserved for abstract. In this page, you must summarize your report including objective of the experiment, description of the precise problem, method used, results and conclusion. Abstract must be short and clear in single paragraph. Abstract is written after all other contents are completed. CONTENT Content is to show the location of each part in the report, and should include all topics and subtopics of the report. 70% 10% 20%

INTRODUCTION Make an introduction about the experiment. Divide into two (2) subtopics: 1.1 Introduction (literature review and theory) Make a literature review on the topic that is related to your experiment. You can also include theory or principles of process and reaction in the experiment. Additionally, discuss and make comparisons with previous studies related to the experiment. You MUST include the reference (name of author, year) at the end of the statement you cited from any resources in your text. 1.2 Objective(s) Clearly state each objective of the experiment in full, independent sentences.

2.0

METHODOLOGY Explain the procedure conducted to achieve the objectives of your experiment. Make a FLOW DIAGRAM of the entire experiment. List all chemicals, equipment and apparatus used throughout the experimental work. Brief explanation on the purpose and procedure to run each equipment in the experiment should be included.

3.0

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION This part is very important. You must include your observations of the experiment and results obtained during your work, in form of: i) Tables ii) Graphs iii) Diagrams (bar charts, pie charts, spectral data etc.) iv) Written statements v) Calculations Discuss results obtained. Elaborate the trend or pattern of your data and relate it to the theory of the experiment. Give a reason or explanation for any observation and results that you achieved. Try to relate it with the theory and past studies.

REFERENCES (at least 3 references) Every statement or information cited from any resources should be mentioned in the text in the form of (Author name, year). At the end of the report, list down all the references that have been cited in the text based on the format below. (a) Book Author (Year). Title. Edition (if not the first).
