Hurricanes dont just cause destruction on personal propertiesthey also have a significant impact on the environment. One effect of hurricanes on the environment is they cause erosion. This is the gradual destruction of an ecosystem. Hurricanes create storm surge which causes erosion. (eroding of river beds, forests, etc) Subsequently, members of the ecosystems community are affected. Did you know hurricanes also carry bacteria? Foreign bacteria can significantly impact a different environment.
