Upgrade Path
Pentium D Processor Windows XP Professional Operating System 2GB of RAM.

DIGIOP systems with previous software versions can be upgraded as detailed below if the server hardware meets the following minimum requirements:

Upgrade Installation

Upgrading from DIGIOP ELEMENTS version 8.0 to DIGIOP ELEMENTS version 8.1 is performed with an installer. Note: All video and license data is retained during this upgrade.

2.1

Installer Method (Non-Destructive Upgrade)

This method installs DIGIOP ELEMENTS software suite including DIGIOP Core, DIGIOP Control, DIGIOP Data on the server. If your machine is connected to a network connection, begin by accessing the DIGIOPServer_Web.exe version. Double click the file to begin. If your machine is offline, begin by accessing the DIGIOPServer_Full.exe. The following steps will guide you through the screens that appear upon the upgrade process. 1. Access the installer.

2. Click Next.

4. Click Install.

The server will begin the installation process as indicated by a progress bar. Note: The installation process may take several minutes.

5. After the DIGIOP Server was successfully installed, click Finish.

6. After clicking Finish, the System Maintenance screen will appear. Click Manage Licenses to enter the system licenses required for DIGIOP ELEMENTS V8.1.

Note: If upgrading from version 8.0 to version 8.1, the system will require an Advanced Base License to activate the IP or analog channels that previously existed on the system. If your system includes registers, analytics, or access control devices, separate licensing is required in V8.1 to continue using these accessories.

3.0

Licensing Your DIGIOP Product

You can either add licenses to your system by accessing Enterprise Configuration Application in the Windows start menu (after installation), or during installation setup. Licenses can be activated on-line (through systems with Internet access) or manually.

3.1

Online Activation (DVR with a valid Internet connection)

1. In the License Summary window, click Add License.

2. After receiving the License ID and Password from DIGIOP Support, click Activate License Online.

3. When the Activation completed message appears, click Next.

4. Verify that the number of IP and analog channels and the total channels are correct, then click Next.

5. After all services successfully restarted, click Next.

Manual Activation (DVR without network access)

1. In the License Summary window, click Add License.

2. Enter new License ID and password, then select Activate License Manually.

3. Copy or write down the License Server URL if activating the DVR from another unit that allows web access.

4. Click on Save Activation Request File.

5. Save it to the desktop, then transfer the XML file and License Server URL to another form of media.

6. Take the files saved on the flash drive or other media to a system that has Internet access. Paste the License Server URL into a web browser to open the page shown below. On he page, click Browse and go to the location where the file is saved and select it. Then click Submit.

7. Click the Download button to save the response file to a flash drive or other media for transfer from the system with web access to your DVR.

8. At the DVR, click on Load Activation Response File and upload the file.

9. When the Activation completed message appears, click Next.

Completion Steps

To add additional licenses to your system, use one of the two activation procedures above, then continue with the following steps. 1. Verify that all information shown in the License Summary window is correct, then click Next.

2. After all services .. successfully restarted, click Next.

3. Click Finish to close wizard.
