Topic: Modem and Digital Camera and the functions (continue previous lesson)

The Set-up Unit Goals:

Pupils will be introduced to a live webcam to widen their experience of video
conferencing. They are also able to develop their ICT skill, writing skill, reading
skill as well as communication skill.

Learning Objectives:
1. To apply their previous knowledge and apply it to the new
learning. For example: identify name of computer
hardwares (keyboard, monitor, etc) and take the pictures
by digital camera (new knowledge).
2. To solve problem according to instructions given by teachers (create
internet connection) in group work. (collaboratively)

3. To develop their communication skills in group discussion, contribute

ideas and comments to peers and make a final decision (decision-making).
Materials: Digital Cameras, RJ45, RJ11, usb-cables, modems and splitters

The Lesson The Hook: Teacher shows a cartoon video where the characters use mobile
phones to capture images. Teacher will explain at the end of the video that

4. Lesson Summary: Transfer and synthesize current knowledge to a new learning of

Development 3 technologies. On previous lesson, they had learnt name and functions of
(5 minutes) computers hardwares such as keyboard and monitor. Today, they need to
capture specific hardwares using digital camera. They need to discuss
among group members of which can be found inside the computer. While
on second activity, they need to connect given material with labelled cable
according to the instructions. Their reading skills are tested to see if they
could do it accordingly.

The Closure Application: Student will learn on how to transfer the captured images into
(5 minutes) computer. Teacher will assist them on this procedure.

Another 5 minutes is Assessment: Students will be assessed on how they are able to explore and use
reserve for morning given instruction and work collaboratively. They should be able to discuss the
greetings, reciting ‘Doa’ functions of available tools and apply their knowledge.
