III. Jesus provided

“ I

Can you imagine how the disciples of Christ must have felt after the crucifixion? The hopelessness, the fear, the uncertainty. Then, after the resurrection, the joy and hap- piness of knowing that Christ is alive.

But, what is going to happen to us? What are we going to do with our lives? We have left everything to follow Jesus, what do we do now?

was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. Then they worshiped Him and returned to Jeru- salem with great joy. And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.” Luke 24:51-53. And Mark 16:15- 20 recorded Jesus saying to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” “Then the dis- ciples went out and preached everywhere…” All of this happened after Easter. Do you think maybe, just maybe, He would like for us to do the same? This would bring hope to our kind of world.

The Bible tells us, just before He went to the Father, “

am sending you.” (John 20:21 b )

IV. Jesus provided

“Receive the Holy Spirit.” (John 20:22 b )
