Description : Provide specialized expertise to all field operations in areas of corrosion, corrosion monitoring and its control.

Develop, implement and monitor corrosion guidelines, plans, procedures, reports and compliance as per company policies. Key Accountibilities : Carry out corrosion analysis, studies and surveys on plant equipment and facilities to determine corrosion behaviour. Develop, review and update corrosion monitoring programs for new and existing fields comprising wellheads, gathering systems and processing facilities Provide technical advice on implementation of corrosion control measures and follow up / monitor the implementation phase. Provide material selection/analysis services to determine type of material to be used and determine cause of material failure. Prepare technical specification and design basis for cathodic protection projects. Evaluate the adequacy / effectiveness of corrosion control systems on all facilities. Carry out studies/ analysis on the effect of corrosion due to changes in operation mode. Provide technical assessment on corrosion behaviour considering the adequacy of chemicals, metallurgy and protection measures. Set up corrosion data management system for all plant equipment/facilities. Provide technical assistance to prepare all corrosion related procedures. Carry out prequalification of corrosion contractors/consultants for inclusion in companys bidders list. Evaluate facilities remaining life based on the corrosion rates/trends. Qualification : BSc Engineering Experience : 5 to 10 years of experience in corrosion protection system design, operation and maintenance in oil & gas industry. Thoroughly knowledge/information on corrosion monitoring equipment and techniques. Thoroughly information/knowledge of good corrosion monitoring, economic practices and calculations methods relevant to specific standards and specifications. Experience in gas processing, chemical inhibitor treatment, cathodic protection scale control, microbiological control, failure analysis, material selection and to some extent in welding. Development of design documents e.g. equipment specifications, flow diagrams, material specifications, alignment sheets, NACE requirements etc. Familiarisation with corporate policies and procedures. Knowledge of HSEQ control procedures and monitoring system. Coordination and communication skills. Should have good communication and analytical skills
