Expository Essay Topic: A. Women and Society.

In every country in the world, women are the most important forces in society because they are always hard-working, intelligent, patient, honest, and empathetic. In most countries, women are the ones who help develop the economy of the nations, for they often try all their best to honestly assist and strongly support their states. Therefore, because of the most significant human resources, women obtain four main roles in society: roles in family, roles in community, positions in politics, and functions in military. Firstly, some main roles are played by women in family. Women are the mothers to take care of their children, the wives to faithfully and honestly love their husbands, and the housewives to do housework, and sometimes some of them become the breadwinners to support their whole families because they have more capacity to earn money than their husbands do. In fact, Mrs. Sopheap whose job is a doctor tries to earn money to support her family whereas her husband stays home to take care of children. Secondly, what are the roles of women in community? Women in community are the counselors to train people about the technique to crow their crops properly and how to increase their agricultural products. Moreover, they are the voluntary teachers volunteering to teach the poor in the rural areas, the doctors to take care of people in their community, and commune chiefs. For instance, Mrs. Chann Sokha whose job is to provide food and home for children in poor is the owner of CCF organization. Thirdly, women acquire some positions in politics. Because they have as equal right as men, women have become the election candidates campaigning for the votes, the judges adjudicating people, the lawyers advising people about law. Also, they are the officials, the members of parliament, and the prime ministers. For example, a strong woman Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra is now the prime minister of Thailand, and also Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton is the United States Secretary of States. Fourthly, what are the main functions of women in the military? Women are now able to join the army to hold many positions. Some of them are lieutenants the officers of middle rank in the armed forces, marines the military troops trained to serve on land or sea, and bombardiers the troops whose job are to release bomb from the aircraft. Actually, Ms. Lt. Brandy Soublet, one of forty five US female marines, is now on the Marine base, Twenty nine Palm in Southern California. All in all, women are the most important workforces in the society according to the main roles they play and all kinds of work they do majestically and patiently. So, women are capable to do all what men can; moreover, they are able to complete their work better than men do. On the one hand, men must not underestimate womens abilities to do work because women have rights to do the same work as men. Women are the priceless diamond of society and the pillar of nations.
