    Many countries in the world have adopted much stricter maximum radiation density values (1/100th to 1/1000th of ICNIRP guidelines) and can be viewed here. Reference: Prof. Girish Kumar’s Presentation - http://www.scribd.com/doc/93413060 ICNIRP guideline is for short term exposure and is insufficient to safeguard human health and environment. With increase in mobile communication and subsequent increase in mobile transmitting towers to meet the communication demand, the amount of electromagnetic radiation in the RF and microwave frequency bands has increased tremendously. Due to this reason, people living in the vicinity of mobile towers and exposed to high amount of electromagnetic radiations have reported of health problems like severe headaches, sleep disturbance, constant body pain, memory problems, joint pains etc. The more severe health effects noted include infertility, miscarriage, neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, etc.), heart problems and even cancer. Children and Pregnant women are more vulnerable among all.
