Maiocco called the Sixth Regular Meeting of the Medford City Council to order at 7:00 P.M at the Howard F. Alden Memorial Auditorium, Medford City Hall.

MOTIONS, ORDERS AND RESOLUTIONS 10-072-Offered by Councillor Burke Whereas, the issue of bullying and cyber bullying has been a major concern for parents, school administrators, police and especially children, Be it Resolved that the Police Chief and Lt. Covino convene an informational/interactive meeting for parents to teach them about what steps they can take to protect their kids and further, a session for middle schoolers on what they should do if this happens to them or if they know of an incident. 10-076-Offered by Councillor Burke Whereas, Google will be launching an ultra high speed broadband fiber optic network in one or more communities. Whereas, Communities must fill out an RFI to be considered, Whereas, at the conclusion, the internet service will be available to the general public at competitive pricing. Whereas, this opportunity has a deadline of March 26, 2010 Be it Resolved that the City Council authorize the Mayor via his Department Head, to complete the RFI to be considered for the Google Fiber Optic Network project. Further, that it attempts to partner with Tufts University in this request 10-077-Offered by Councillor Marks Be it Resolved that residents of Newbern Ave address the Council on neighborhood parking issues. 2
