Unit 1
What is this?
It is thought for elementary or pre-intermediate students who want to learn the basic aspects of commercial English. It comprises 10 units, 30 hours. You need 3 hours for each unit more or less. At the end of each unit you will need to do a test to pass to the following unit. It is advisable to have a bilingual and monolingual dictionary and also a reference grammar book. We will give you some examples in the bibliography section.

Good morning, Ms Campbell. Good morning. Let me see, I understand that you are working for The Camera Company as a Sales Assistant. Is this right? Yes, it is. (5) And you are interested in the position of Sales Manager in our company. Tell me about your qualifications, Ms Campbell. Of course. I have a degree in Commerce from the University of Miles, Edinburgh, and a postgraduate course in eCommerce, too. All right, thats perfect. Tell me a little bit about your personal life, (10) Are you married? Do you have any children? I am single and have no children. What do you do in your spare time? I like dancing, and weight lifting, going to the cinema and travelling. Where do you live now? (15) In Glasgow Finally, why are you interested in our position? I want to work for an international company like yours, and I find the job very challenging. Thank you, Ms Campbell. We will give you a call in the next few days, thank you.
