PRAYER AND PRAISE

Please pray that the Lord would show us what He wants us to address this coming year as we review various aspects of our church life and ministry in the coming months. Praise the Lord for Craig McGowan's passion for teaching parenting. Please pray that the Lord would bless and use this ministry Please pray that the Lord would fill the Kindy leadership with wisdom and direction as they seek to lay a strong foundation for this work. Please pray that the transitions in our Children's ministry would be led by the Lord, and that the person of His choosing will be apparent to all. Please pray for Faye Lauaki as she leads a Bible ministry to the elderly in Nursing homes around Auckland. Pray that the Lord would bless that ministry, and that she would be given all of the volunteers that she needs. Pray for safety for the international workers in Mali. The situation continues to be fine in most areas, but there are still problems in the northeast, with sporadic rebel activity, even with the French and United Nations military on site, a work er writes. Pray for a resolution to this situation.

Are you new to this facility?

We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a new church, so please note that:
The toilets are located down the passage to the right as you exit the sanctuary. The Preschool ministry begins at the start of the service in the Creche, and 5-13 year olds are dismissed part way through the service for Sunday School. Information on who we are, as well as on all of our ministries are available online at www.whac.net.nz Each week, we share a cuppa together after the service, and would love for you to stay for a chat.

NEWS
40 Days of Community "You were never meant to fulfil God's purposes on your own". WHAC is currently going through the 40 Days of Community, which is a church wide campaign to deepen our understanding of how God uses other people for our good and growth, in addition to how God can use us to bless other people. Please be praying for this important time in the life of our church! Hip Hop returns to West Harbour Starting tonight at 6:00, Hip Hop classes return to West Harbour! This free class is open to all ages, and students are encouraged to bring friends along. A big thanks to Craig McGowan! In response to last weekend's notice, Craig McGowan has volunteered to co-lead the Christian parenting course that WHAC will be offering alongside of the Kindy. The tentative starting date for this ministry is July 29th. Please be praying for God's blessing on this important ministry! Seasons at WHAC Phyllis Charlton has been leading our Sunday School ministry for 12 years now, and for that, she deserves a medal... and a holiday to Fiji... and a gold crown in glory! With her new marriage approaching though, we will be looking for a new Children's Ministry leader. So, please be praying for the church leadership as we go through this important process. A new morning tea roster is coming The morning tea ministry is an important part of building community and fellowship at WHAC. A new roster is being put together, and so please note: If you are currently on it, and would like to stay on board, or, if you are currently on the roster and would like a break, or, if you are not on the roster but would like to be, please write you name on a Communication Card with your desired involvement in the space provided, and drop it in the offering bags. Are you eager to be part of the News Room If you have a talent for presentation and a flair for the computer, we are looking for someone to take over producing our weekly newsletter. If you are interested please see Pastor Matt today.

A Financial update: Because of your faithfulness in giving, this past quarter saw us give 18% more than our estimated figures. Praise the Lord and good for you! What this means is that for the first time in months, we are not running in a deficit position. Deficits and surpluses aside, may we never forget that at WHAC, we give as an act of worship to our Heavenly Father. May it ever be so!

MINISTRIES FOR CHILDREN AT WHAC

Ages 0-2 We have a supervised creche fortnightly in the north side of the foyer. Parents are welcome to either drop their kids off, or stay with them. The other two weeks of a month the facilities will be there, but parents will need to supervise their own children. Our Kids Club is divided into two groups, for age appropriate lessons. These take place in the hall during the sermon. A notice will appear on the screen when it is time to dismiss your children.

Ages 3-7 Ages 8 - 13

Reorient: Prayer Join us in the church every Wednesday at 7.30pm as we pray for our community, our church family and ministries. 40 Days of community home group Bible Studies Mordaunts: Thursdays, starting 23 May 7.30pm Thomas: Tuesdays, starting 21 May 7.30pm All are welcome to attend

Purpose means knowing who we are in Christ and what He has done for us, then acting out our relationship and redemption by being obedient to Gods will. It is the pursuit of God so He becomes the driving force, inspiration, motivation, and reason for all we do in life. That is, we devote our life entirely to Him.
