The science and the spirituality seem to reach a confluence which can
be called the “Metaphysics of the Mind”. The spirituality has long since
discovered the movement of mind or rather of its thought patterns as
ever changing, transient and capable of changing in the context of the
observation itself. The quantum physics has revealed the conclusion of
somewhat similar nature by finding that the atomic particles (i.e. the
matter) begin to change in the context of the observation.
So both the matter and mind are changing in the context of an observer.
By collorary, matter and mind are interchangeable or matter is what
mind creates or vice versa in the context of a specific observation.
Hence what an individual sees as an observer in a mass of matter can
be theoretically different from what another individual sees in probably
the same cloud of matter / mind or simply the mass of energy wavelets.
Scientists credit the brain as the controlling organ of this physical form
while the spiritual masters consider mind as the owner. This small gap is
yet to be fully bridged till the time scientists can reach to conclusive
evidence of the mind existing beyond the brain, body or the physical
form. In this direction the difficulty is somewhat similar to attempting to
see light in darkness. For as soon as there is light there cannot be
darkness. The two can not simply coexist. Hence, as soon as there is
pure observation the mind ceases to exist. The mind exists as an
interplay with the physical form. For observing just the mind would need
tools which do not seek proofs of the physical domain / dimensions such
as weight, thickness etc.
This pulsation is so fast and subtle that for a certain level of observation
it seems to be static. Just as a fast moving wheel or a fan appears
stationary giving an illusion of being static, solid and not changing. The
world thus appears static, solid and not changing at the usual human
level of observation where this change cannot be easily perceived.
Physicists with their finer observation instruments – if and when they so
exist – and the spiritualists through the power of their minds can observe
this reality of the constant manifestation of energy and the mind-matter
interplay which forms the whole universe.
