Pursuant to Local Rules 79-5 and 7-11, Rambus Inc. (Rambus) respectfully requests that

2 the Court permit the filing under seal of the following documents being lodged with the Court: (1) 3 Rambuss Opposition to STMicroelectronics N.V. and STMicroelectronics, Inc.s Motion to 4 Strike in Part Rambuss Amended Infringement Contentions (Opposition); and (2) Exhibits 6, 5 10, 12, and 14 to the Declaration of Eric K. Chiu in Support of Rambus Inc.s Opposition to 6 STMicroelectronics N.V. and STMicroelectronics, Inc.s Motion to Strike in Part Rambuss 7 Amended Infringement Contentions (Chiu Declaration). 8 Rambuss Opposition responds to the motion to strike filed on May 13, 2013, by

9 Defendants STMicroelectronics N.V. and STMicroelectronics, Inc. (collectively, STMicro). 10 STMicros motion to strike was submitted under seal and purportedly contains highly confidential 11 technical and customer information relating to STMicro products. See Dkt. 169. Thus, Rambuss 12 Opposition in response may also contain highly confidential information relating to STMicro 13 products. Rambus takes no position regarding the confidentiality of the Opposition, but submits 14 the Opposition under seal so that STMicro has an opportunity to establish that the document 15 merits sealing under Local Rule 79-5(d). 16 Exhibits 6, 10, 12, and 14 to the Chiu Declaration were designated Highly Confidential

17 and Highly Confidential Attorneys Eyes Only by STMicro.
