I. Congo Ebola outbreak might soon be over
Africa

With only two patients left in an isolation ward Tuesday, doctors are hopeful
that the Ebola virus might soon me contained. Doctors are not positive
though, for a carrier of the Ebola virus might not show signs until 3 weeks
for receiving the virus. So far, six people have died from the virus.

II. Bush signs bill boosting aid to students
United States

On Thursday, Bush signed a legislation to make college more affordable to


students from poor and middle class families. The new law achieves a goal
Bush shares with lawmakers: boosting aid on needy students. This shows
they have done something to ease the burden of paying for college, a popular
political priority.

III. Two bikers slam into wall in San Jose, die
United States, San Jose

Two motorcyclists were killed Monday evening in San Jose, by crashing into
a wall at high speed, supposedly racing, police say. The crash happened
shortly after 5 p.m. on Silver Creek Valley Road at Farnsworth Drive near
the Silver Creek Valley Country Club, police said. They couldn’t tell exactly
how fast the men were going, but as Sgt. Nick Muyo stated, “They were
going well over the speed limit.”

IV. Spears lost children for disobeying judge: lawyer
United States, Los Angeles

The pop-star Britney Spears lost custody of her two young children for
failing to take court ordered drug and alcohol tests. Instead, Britney attended
a night club. Now, Britney’s ex-husband Kevin Federline takes sole custody
of the two sons.

V. Shaq gets in shape through "ultimate fighting"
Miami

At 7’1”, Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most intimidating players in


basketball, but has been testing his athleticism in one of the most violent of
sports -- Ultimate Fighting. When questioned on what he had been doing
during the NBA off-season, O'Neal said he had been in the caged ring taking
on challengers in the combination of boxing, martial arts and wrestling. “I've
been doing a lot of fighting, a lot of swimming, a lot of hunting and a lot of
school work and a lot of reading,” O'Neal told reporters at the Heat's pre-
training camp media day.
