Internships / Projects : Organization : Honeywell Automation Limited India (HAIL), Pune, India

Period : May July 2008 Designed a portable hardware kit, saving time and money, for on field mass testing of the Access controller Product - a product of security management systems. Suggested modifications to existent testing methods and developed generic test hardware for people on Shop Floor. The prototype has been conceptualized into a product launched in 2008, now a prime offering of Honeywell. Period : May July 2009 Developed a new generation programming method CAN based bootloader for programming Robocup robot. Cost of programmer saved. Wireless, remote fast programming of any number of chips made possible. Secured 1st place at Robocup World Championship 2009(MSL), Austria. (Team RFC Stuttgart) Contributed to a scientific paper released at the Robocup Conference 2009 in Graz, Austria.

Period : May July 2010 Developed software modules for Human Machine Interaction and Path Planning of an autonomous domestic robot. Number of tests cleared by the robot at Robocup@home World Championship Singapore, 2010 was increased to 7 compared to 4 in previous year.

Period : Currently working Develop a vision based fatigue detection product to prevent accidents of human drivers due to loss of attention. Fatigue level is estimated by calculating the percentage closure of eye (PERCLOS) of a person. The product would be unique in market and targeted to be low cost.

Key achievements and duties


In my tenure Azad hall was the only hall to win a medal in 4 out of 5 Tech GC events held. I was successful in maintaining hall participation in Tech GC to 80 Students. A post created to ensure consistent levels of senior students participation in the Tech GC and assist the GSec. Technology. Worked with a team of around 35 people to design a navigation aid for blind (EYES) for the Nov 09 event. Form and train a team of around 12 people towards competing for Inter Hall Water-polo event, Oct 10.

Finalist of Intel India Embedded Challenge 2010 - An Embedded design contest for students. Won 1st prize at International Case Study Competition at Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES), IIT Kgp,2010. 1 Gold Medal : Inter-Hall Case Study 08 2 silver Medals : Inter-Hall Hardware Exhibition 10, Open IIT Dramatics 07 (Play-The Witch) 2 Bronze Medals : Inter-Hall Hardware Exhibition 08, Water-Polo 08 Awarded the C.
