TT&C System Engineer 3902005 24/04/2013 Bremen Germany Master Permanent immediately The TT&C System Engineer is responsible for the specification of the TT&C subsystem of the satellite and oversee its design, development and verification processes. Tasks: Telemetry, Tracking & Control (TT&C) subsystem lead engineer for the development and integration of satellites with overall responsibility for all TT&C related project activities, therefore ensuring technical quality as well as schedule and budget compliance on subsystem level Definition and development of the TT&C subsystem including technical specification on subsystem and component levels, in cooperation with system level Definition of the verification philosophy on subsystem and component levels and specification of test requirements for the TT&C subsystem testing Support to Program Manager for planning, coordination and control of subsystem design and analysis activities performed Responsibility for procurement activities for the TT&C transponders and antennas, including generation of subcontractors Statements of Work and hardware specifications, and performance of the procurement process according to ESA procedures Management of hardware suppliers for TT&C transponders and antennas, with support by the Program Manager Qualification: Degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, telecommunication, space technology, physics or comparable qualification 5 years of professional experience in space industry as communications subsystem engineer, communications project engineer or in similar positions Excellent conceptual and analytical skills Accustomed to work in teams with well developed communication skills Capability of manage subcontractors AIT project experience would be of advantage Ideally, experience in ESA/ASI or commercial satellite development projects Fluent in written and spoken English Familiarity with requirements tracking (e.g. DOORS) would be of advantage
