PART 02 - PRODUCTS 2.01 GEOTEXTILE REQUIREMENTS: A. The geotextile must not be damaged during installation and during its life. The geotextile should exhibit stable properties during the design life of the structure. It should be resistant to physical, biological, chemical and environmental action. The filtration properties of the geotextile must be adapted to the soil condition. The geotextile must not form an artificial slip surface. A high degree of flexibility of a geotextile is essential to provide adequate interlocking of the geotextile between the sub-grade and crushed stone.

PART 03 - PRODUCTS A. Laying: 1. A non-woven geotextile with a unit weight of at least 100 g/m2 must be placed between the crushed stone and the sand bedding layer to prevent filtration of the sand bedding into the crushed stone matrix. 2. Adjacent rolls should be seamed or overlapped 300mm. Overlapped seams should be secured using pins. B. Under Layer Stone: It is recommended that a layer of smaller stones should be installed between the crashed stones and the geotextile.
