RELEASE STATEMENT
This release is a special software release for Hydro Quebec. All models from the P546xxxxxxx320J product range, incorporating the P540 version 32B release of software shall be released to production. This release involves changes to the software. This release is required following Products Notice Risk Assessments 2006.004 & 2006.006.

PRODUCT RELEASE
OVERVIEW This release covers P546xxxxxxx320J product range, incorporating the P540 software version 32B. This product release affects software only. Software 32B like 32A are special versions of P546 software for Hydro-Qebec. Software 32B is based on 32A, which was based on 30F, but including all the changes added to 30F to produce 30I as detailed in sections 10.4 & 10.5 and summarised below: Resolved a mal operation of the distance protection Resolved a problem relating to IRIG-B Improved DNP3 performance Fixed other bugs
This is an essential bug fix version required by Products Notice Risk Assessments 2006.004 & 2006.006. See section 12 for further information. 1.2. As there are no hardware changes there is no impact on existing product safety requirements.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
All documents and software files have been placed under configuration management using the clearcase system as described in documentation plan 50315.2050.001 and section 10.2 of this document.

SUPPORT
The changes do not affect the service manuals These changes do not affect the MiCOM S1 support files issued for version 31A. Note these support files are in English and French languages only. An electronic Defect Tracking System is used for reporting and resolving defects. The existing development team will supply maintenance within R&D.
