Organizations are only as good as the people who make up that organization. To that effect, helping people grow, servant leadership and commitment to goals have been the cornerstones of my success in the field of sales and sales management. My career at Conn's spans 27 years in the home appliance, furniture and consumer electronics industry. First, as a million dollar sales professional, then store manager and district manager. Most recently, as District Manager of the Dallas, Fort Worth and Oklahoma region, the market grew from 11 stores doing $60 million annually to 18 stores and $200 million in annual revenue, with a 94.4% customer satisfaction rating. My scope of responsibility included all sales, store operations, staffing, people development and customer experience. I liken these responsibilities to being the CEO of the market. Effectiveness begins with finding, growing and nurturing talent. Teaching and helping people grow is one of my strengths, as evidenced by assisting in the promotion of five direct reports to the district manager level. It is also a job function I enjoy most. Prior to moving to Dallas, I supervised a 10 store district in Houston with annual sales of $125 million. During that period of my career, in addition to delivering double-digit comparable store growth, I mentored newly selected District Managers. It was the success in Houston that enabled me to be selected to move to Dallas and direct the growth of, at that time, the Company's newest market. Before that, as a store manager, I managed eleven different locations, specializing in new store openings and the turnaround of underperforming stores. The highlight of that period was opening a store in Baton Rouge, LA, which had sales of $2,000,000 in the first month, the most ever by a Conn's location. It would be nearly 4 years before that record was eclipsed. I hold a Bachelors degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and have completed industry study programs at the University of Notre Dame. Interests include sports and travel.
