Ci>zensforNa>onalSecurity(CFNS)undertooktographicallydepictthebigpictureofthedangerousandrelentlessopera>onalstrategyof theinterna>onalMuslimBrotherhoodtopenetratetheUnitedStatesandeventuallyerodeitsins>tu>ons,policies,andsenseofselfthrough thecrea>onofamul>facetedFiZhColumnmovementwithinourborders.Fromitsphysicalincep>onin1962,markedbytheestablishmentof theMuslimStudentsAssocia>on,4clearroutesareiden>able.ItisimportanttonotethattheseFourRoutesalthoughphasedinseparately weredesignedtooperatesimultaneously,aremutuallysuppor>veandarefullyfunc>onaltoday. CFNShopesthatanaly>calexcursionssuchasthiswills>mulatedebate,encourageotherstoundertakeanalysisatthesystemlevel,andhelp toprovideanoverallcontextforthemanyexcellentanaly>caleortsundertakenatthemicroindividualcase,incident,organiza>onal,or subsystemlevels. TherecentphenomenonofMuslimextremistsemana>ngfromtheUnitedStatesisnottheresultofaspontaneousreac>ontoU.S.policies orthefailuretoeec>velyassimilateMuslimimmigrants.Itisthecomingofageofanunacknowledged49yearlongcampaignbyforeign subversivestounderminetheUnitedStatesanditsWesternculturalorienta>on. Thiscampaignhasbeenwagedunopposedbytheinterna>onalMuslimBrotherhoodthroughFOURdis>nctroutes.Itbeganin1962withthe arrivalofagentsoftheSaudiandEgyp>anbranchesoftheMuslimBrotherhood.TheywerefollowedbytheirPakistanicohortsin1972andthe Pales>nianbranchin1981.Thefourthroutegraduallyemergedasanac>veFiZhColumnmovementcomprisedofyoungradicalizedconverts, Jihadistsecondgenera>onimmigrantsandforeignagentprovocateurs. RouteOneisthegalvaniza>onoftheisolatedMuslimpopula>onswithintheUnitedStatesbythecrea>onofanorganiza>onalsuperstructure designedtoatoncetakecontrolofallMuslimreligious,social,andprofessionalac>vi>esintheUnitedStatesthroughtheinfusionofvastsums ofmoneyfromSaudiArabiaandseveraloftheotherPersianGulfStatesmostnotablytheUnitedArabEmirates(UAE).Thesefunds, administeredbyBrotherhoodmembers,were/areusedtoprovidetraining,educa>onalmaterials,construc>onprojects,socialwelfareservices, legalandpoli>calrepresenta>on.Addi>onalfundsareusedtogaininroadsintobusinesses,majorcorporateboards,mediaandpublishing establishments,ThegrandstrategyisdesignedtoobtainloyaltyandallegiancetotheMuslimBrotherhoodanditsprogeny.Thisissimilarto thetechniqueslaterusedbyHamasandHezbollahtodominatePales>nianpopula>onsintheMiddleEast.Theprincipalsubversive organiza>oncreatedasthebeachheadforthishos>leinvasionwastheMuslimStudentsAssocia>on(MSA).It,inturn,spunomoreelements oftheorganiza>onalsuperstructureincluding,butnotlimitedto,theNorthAmericanIslamicTrust(NAIT),theMuslimAmericanSociety(MAS), theIslamicSocietyofNorthAmerica(ISNA)andmanyotherlikemindeden>>es. RouteTwomarksthearrivalofthePakistanibranchoftheBrotherhoodanditsestablishmentofamassIslamicprosely>za>on,conversion,and radicalrecruitmentopera>onthroughouttheUnitedStates.TheprimaryfocusoftheU.S.por>onofthe2millionmemberJamaatalTabligh organiza>onisconver>ngpeopletoIslam.Theirpar>culargoalwithintheUSistocreateaMuslimpoli>calbasethateventuallywillhavea strongenoughvoicetoaltertheAmericanpoli>calsystemfromwithintheyprovidethebodypoli>candthemanpowertostaandcarryout thegoalsoftheSuperstructureassociatedwithRouteOne.Inaddi>on,JamaatalTablighpointmeniden>fyandnurtureindividualswhomay bepar>cularlygoodrecruitsforspecialJihadisttrainingandmissions.Thesearethenhandedotoforeignbasedextremistorganiza>onsfora phasedradicaliza>onindoctrina>onthatoZenbeginswithArabiclanguagetraininginYemen.TheeortsofJamaatalTablighwerelater augmentedbysimilareortsoftheIslamicCircleofNorthAmerica(ICNA)althoughwithaslightlydierentfocus.ThePakistaniBrotherhood alsocreatedterroristandextremistcampsinruralloca>onsinovertwentystateswithintheU.S.Theorganiza>onitspawnedtoaccomplish thisiscalledJamaatalFuquaAKAMuslimsofAmerica.Itsmembershavebeeninvolvedinseveralmurders,weaponshoarding,andavarietyof othercrimes.

RouteThreebeganwiththe1981establishmentoftheIslamicAssocia>onforPales>ne(IAP)inFlorida.TheIAPwasanillegalterroristfront organiza>onwhichbecameavirtualbranchofHamasadesignatedPales>nianterroristorganiza>onwhenHamascameintoexistancein 1987.InitsCharter,Hamas,callsitselfthePales>neBranchoftheMuslimBrotherhood.Inturn,theIAPandHamascreatedthePales>ne Commiiee,AmericanMuslimsforPales>ne,theHolyLandFounda>on,TheUnitedAssocia>onforStudyandResearchand,itsagship crea>on,theCouncilonAmericanIslamicRela>ons(CAIR)anIslamistLawfareopera>onwhichmasqueradesasacivilrightsorganiza>onto createapublicandpoli>calpresencedesignedtosupportallFourRoutesofsubversion. RouteFouristheemergenceofaradicalized,increasinglyviolent,Muslimpopula>onintheUnitedStatescomprisedofimmigrantsandU.S. bornci>zens.Theirinuence,overwhelminglynega>veandconfronta>onal,isnowbeginningtobefeltinavarietyofwaysincluding: incendiarypoli>calac>ons(GroundZeroMosque),workplacedisrup>onsbaseduponfalseclaimsofreligiouspersecu>on,demandsfor changestoschoolcalendarstorecognizeMuslimholidays,streetdemonstra>onsofsolidaritywithdesignatedterroristorganiza>ons, demandsforzoningexemp>onstobuildmegamosquesdesignedtoin>midatelocalcommuni>esbyphysicallydwarngtradi>onalchurches andsynagogues,byengagingininten>onallythreateningbehavioraboardairplanesandinothervulnerableloca>ons,byplanningand/or comminngmurderandmassmurderinsideAmericanins>tu>onssuchasschools,militarybases,ci>esandtownsaswellasavarietyofother avenuesandac>ons. Theaccompanyinganalysisisvisualinitsdesignandimplementa>oninordertoconveytheBigPictureofthemul>phasedassaultthe UnitedStateshasbeensubjectedtoforthepast49years.ThisaiackupontheUnitedStateshasbeendicultfortradi>onalanalystsand poli>calexpertstograspordeneasitisacovertopera>onexecutedbyasmallcadreofquietprofessionalsimbuedwiththepa>enceand economicwherewithalltocarryoutalongtermopera>ondeepwithinenemyterritory.However,itisvitaltozoomouttolookatthe overalllandscapetofullyunderstandthecontext,phasing,goals,andprogressthatIslamistinltratorshavemadeintheirwarontheUnited States,awarthatbeganlongbeforeSeptember11,2001andcon>nuestogrindalongtoday.IttakesadvantageofourCons>tu>onal protec>onstosubvertourCons>tu>on.TheMuslimBrotherhoodanditsprogenytakeadvantageofmanyofourmostnaveormost profoundlyignorantpoli>cians,academicsandmembersofthemediatondapologistsorpropagandaoutletstofurthertheiragenda.Italso takesadvantageofAmericasperpetualselfdoubtaboutourroleintheworldandourwillingnesstoblameourselvesinthepresenceof enemieswhoespouseblind,resolute,culturalhatredforusandouropenandevolvingciviliza>on. ThepresentHomegrownJihadintheUSA"project,producedbyaCFNSTaskForce,issoontobesupplementedwithasisterreport detailingtheclandes+nerela+onshipsbetweentheleadershipofamul+tudeofMuslimAmericanorganiza+ons,mosques,academicand businessgroups,andsocialandpoli+calen++es.Manyoftheoriginalleadersoftheseorganiza+onsarenowservingprisontermsfor suppor+ngterrorism.Thisreportwillbeinspreadsheetformatandcontainsalmost4,000individualsand75organiza+ons. Ci>zensforNa>onalSecurityiscomprisedofalargebodyofordinaryci>zenswhoarevitallyconcernedoverthreatstoourna>onalsecurity andisproac>veinaddressingthem.
