BROAD MSU ART CAMP SUMMER 2013 Behavior Agreement Dear Parents, The Broad Art Museum MSU

Art Camp is not school, but it requires that all participants follow some basic rules that are commonplace in school. Please review the following behavior guidelines and expectations with your children. Please come to camp earnest, eager, and energetic! It is important that you listen and learn. When we are looking at art and discussing it as a group, please raise your hand to make a contribution and listen to what others are saying. We will study actual art pieces from the Broad Art Museum collection. Art is fragile and you are not permitted to touch the art. Please follow directions from the instructor and museum docents when viewing it. For certain projects we will use a hot-glue gun. You must not touch it or handle it. Only adults are permitted to operate the hot-glue gun. (This also applies to other art tools that could be dangerous). If you need to use the restroom or require a drink of water, please inform the instructor or volunteers. Please do not waste the art supplies and use only what you require for your art projects. If you are not listening to instruction, you will be a distraction to others who want to be productive and enjoy the art lessons. The instructor will speak with you individually if you cannot adhere to guidelines and behavior expectations. This may result in a conference with parents/guardians, if required. Finally, we hope you'll savor making and learning about art! This is an opportunity to spend an entire week -- not just a single lesson -- immersed in art. Take your time on your projects and youll be sure to have a great time!
The purpose of this agreement is to ensure that everyone has a fun, safe, and productive week together.
