BIOGRAPHY
Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was born on November 30, 1874, in Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, and died on January 24, 1965. He was the son of Lord Randolph Churchill and Jennie Jerome. He was also the grandson of the 7th Duke of Marlborough. He was educated at Harrow and the Royal Military College at Sandhurst. Then he was sent to India with a cavalry commission in 1895. From 1896 to 1897 he was a soldier and a journalist in India. Churchill is considered as the greatest political figure in 20th-century Britain. He won a Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953.

INVOLVEMENT AND IMPORTANCE IN WORLD WAR ONE

Churchills involvement in World War 1 was first when he was promoted to Home Secretary in 1910, and he used troops to maintain the law and order against strikers in South Wales. He supported the Dardanelles Campaign, an operation against the turks. He also helped to encourage and develop some weapons, for example, the tank, and he was also involved in with the British Fleets preparedness in August 1914. But the expedition to Antwerp and Gallipoli failed, and also at the Dardanelles Campaign, so Churchills reputation and career was harmed. In 1915, he resigned from being the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. Then he rejoined the army and his rank rose to colonel. He also joined the army and commanded a battalion of the Royal Scots Fusiliers on the Western Front. Finally, In 1917, he was helped by Lloyd George back into the government as Minister of Munitions, until the rest of the war. He made a great job on supplying the army and promoted the tanks, again.

OPINION
I think Churchill affected pretty much of the events in World War One, like from the development of the weapons and tanks, and also the event in Gallipoli. He also commanded a battalion on the Western Front, which was famous enough. He also gave so many encouragement to the British, for example, by his V fingers sign which meant Victory.

EVALUATION
For me, Winston Churchill was a great British leader because of his strength. One time, he rose and then everything seemed to be perfect. But there was also one time when he fell, but he did not lose hope. He still rejoined the army, and after a while, he was back into the government. I like the way that he always tried to find another way when his career dropped, and he always found a way to rise again after he fell. But he wasnt only a war leader, he had so many other great jobs in his life. His life was full of adventures. He liked histories, and in his life, luckily, he made histories, too.
