BIOGRAPHY
Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was born on November 30, 1874, in Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, and died on January 24, 1965. He was the son of Lord Randolph Churchill and Jennie Jerome. He was also the grandson of the 7th Duke of Marlborough. He was educated at Harrow and the Royal Military College at Sandhurst. Then he was sent to India with a cavalry commission in 1895. From 1896 to 1897 he was a soldier and a journalist in India. Churchill is considered as the greatest political figure in 20th-century Britain. He won a Nobel Prize for Literature in 1953.
OPINION
I think Churchill affected pretty much of the events in World War One, like from the development of the weapons and tanks, and also the event in Gallipoli. He also commanded a battalion on the Western Front, which was famous enough. He also gave so many encouragement to the British, for example, by his V fingers sign which meant Victory.
EVALUATION
For me, Winston Churchill was a great British leader because of his strength. One time, he rose and then everything seemed to be perfect. But there was also one time when he fell, but he did not lose hope. He still rejoined the army, and after a while, he was back into the government. I like the way that he always tried to find another way when his career dropped, and he always found a way to rise again after he fell. But he wasnt only a war leader, he had so many other great jobs in his life. His life was full of adventures. He liked histories, and in his life, luckily, he made histories, too.
