Students have a camera in their pocket and easy access to video tools that rival professional movie studios. How do we use these powerful technologies in the classroom? Explore non-traditional ways to harness the power of digital storytelling to tap into student creativity throughout the curriculum. In this session, we will explore a series of several different YouTube videos and genres. We will analyze each video and breakdown what exactly is so appealing about it and how we can use simple technologies to replicate those ideas. Resources available at: delivr.com/2j2d3. Ignite presentations consist of 20 slides that are set to advance automatically every 15 seconds. That means each presentation is exactly five minutes. Come witness fellow campers give Ignite presentations about teaching, learning, and technology. Ignite Night promises to be fast paced and informative with topics ranging from sharing student projects to favorite online resources. In addition to attending, please consider presenting! Those who present are entered into a drawing to win an iPad Mini. If you want help creating your slideshow for Ignite Night, join Tony Vincent Tuesday afternoon from 4:10-4:50pm for tips and assistance.
