Brief Profile of Dr Sachin Laddha


is one of the emerging professions which need special attention for development. The Pharmacy teachers play an important role in the development of this field. Dr Sachin Laddha decided to contest for the Vice President post of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India with the aim of making this organization truly an International and very teacher friendly. Missing of Young teacher as contesting candidate for the APTI election simply motivates Dr Sachin to contest for this election. Dr Sachin is an enthusiastic and success driven Medicinal Chemist with 10+ years of experience in Research and Teaching in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He is dedicated to drug discovery, contributed to SAR development in synthesizing and designing novel potent compounds having drug like properties aimed for clinical candidacy. Dr Sachin is graduated from Nagpur University. He did his post graduation with fellowship from the prestigious Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nagpur University, Nagpur under the guidance of Prof. S G Wadodkar and Dr S K Meghal. He finished his PhD from the renowned Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi under the mentorship of Prof S P Bhatnagar, EX-Advisor, BIT, Ranchi. His mentors shape up Dr Sachin as true teacher and researcher. During his tenure as faculty in Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Shimla he has exposure in a various administrative responsibilities. In 10 years of his tenure he enjoyed teaching and have huge student fan. His students are working in various industries as few are working abroad. He strongly believe in Prof Arvindam Chaudharis Attitude Skill & Knowldge Principle and same he is always trying to transform to his students. At present 6 students are working with him for their doctoral work. He is having 18 International papers, 5 national papers and 1 international book to his credit. Apart from as Academician, Dr Sachin is associated with various social bodies like Charter Member, Rotary Paradise, Thane, Founder Director of S L Research Society (Charitable Trust) and Chairman S L Research Foundation (an NGO). He is actively involved in various social activities like career counseling camps for aspiring students (10th and 12th). As the Vice President of APTI, Dr Sachin wishes to involve the Young Pharmacy Teachers in the development of APTI and wish to make it truly international and teacher friendly organization. Under the banner of the APTI he wishes to fight for the teachers problem with the various government and non government bodies. He wishes to minimize the gap between the teachers and industry by organized various work shop for the young pharmacy teachers. He visualized APTI as the main forum where the Pharmacy teachers share and solve their problems. Making APTI College of Pharmacy is another priority, where there is the education for the teachers only. He would like to finish the future plans (mentioned on the website from many years).
