A total bridge management solution providing reliable prediction of maintenance requirements to facilitate future expenditure programs

BridgeAsyst is a comprehensive bridge management system software package designed to reliably predict future expenditure programs. The unique paperless system allows bridge inspectors to work easily in the eld and provides a practical series of reporting tools that communicate information about bridge condition, maintenance priorities and budgets. BridgeAsyst, is fully compatible with the Local Roads Bridge Management Manual, and includes the following benets: Maintenance scheduling Capital works budgeting Network condition modelling Links to asset management systems GIS package linkages Digital eld data gathering, including phorgraphs Developed by bridge engineers who actively managed bridge infrastructure for a wide range of authorities including state road authorities, railways and local government, BridgeAsyst is the total bridge management system that: Captures electronic inspection data in the eld Stores inventory and inspection data, including photographs Generates capital works programs and risk-based maintenance scheduling Offers nancial management of bridge stock to AAS27 requirements Network bridge condition monitoring Storage of maintenance costs Inspection process BridgeAsyst uses contemporary inspection methodology, including the VicRoads Bridge Inspection Manual and the Queensland Bridge Inspection Manual. It stores information from Level 1, 2 and 3 inspections.

Risk based maintenance scheduling A risk score is automatically generated within BridgeAsyst for every defect in the network, by combining probability of failure and consequence of failure. Ranking of scores then determines maintenance priorities and a risk based maintenance schedule is generated. Capital works program Using the replacement year data, a report is generated that identies bridges to be replaced in ten-year groups, together with anticipated cost. This allows Bridge Managers to review likely capital expenditure into the future and identify potential peaks. Financial analysis BridgeAsyst provides a nancial analysis module to calculate: Replacement cost of bridges Depreciated value of each structure Current value of bridge stock Through adjustment of typical replacement costs, or by adjustment of replacement dates, bridges can be revalued when required. Reporting meets AAS27 requirements. Network condition modelling Using risk scores for all components, an overall network score can be determined and used to benchmark the condition of all bridges against the designated minimum level for the road category. BridgeAsyst links BridgeAsyst can easily be customised to link directly with generic Council Asset Management Systems and GIS packages.
