Evacuations

As of May 30th at 6pm a mandatory evacuation is in effect for residents in the Riverview Estates neighborhood and the Izaak Walton League near Oakcrest Hill Rd.

As of June 1st, at 4pm a voluntary evacuation has been issued for Winter Eagle Rd., S.E., River Bend Rd. S.E., and Fountain Court S.E.

As of June 2nd a voluntary evacuation has been issued for the Normandy Drive neighborhood, the Taft Speedway neighborhood

Lifted Evacuations

A mandatory evacuation for residents of 6972, 6994, and 6999 Tri County Rd was lifted on 6-4-13.

Individual Disaster Assistance Program

Individual Disaster Assistance Program provides grants up to $5,000 for households with incomes up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level or a maximum annual income of $39,060, for a family of three.

Grants are available for home or car repairs, replacement of clothing or food, and for the expense of temporary housing. Original receipts are required for those seeking reimbursement for actual expenses related to storm recovery. The grant application and instructions are available at the "Disaster Assistance" link on the Iowa Department of Human Services website: www.dhs.iowa.gov<http://www.dhs.iowa.gov/, or you may contact HACAP at 319-739-0107 or United Way 211 at 2-1-1, 319-739-4211 for assistance. Applications must be received within 45 days of the date of proclamation
