It has become a necessary tool for communication, entertainment, and information. The authors state they will study parental mediation and how students with ADHD interact with the Internet opposed to those who do not have ADHD. The research conducted involved a questionnaire that asked the habits of the groups when on the Internet alone and with supervisions along with other variables. Although the data showed that both habits looked very similar, it also showed that the parents of adolescents with ADHD showed more internet in the Internet usage. As a conclusion, the authors claimed that overall Internet use among obsolescent with ADHD and normal adolescent were basically the same. Students would generally search for information when doing schoolwork, and go to social media sites when they had nothing to do. Many schools do not require technology course that reaches Internet skill because it is not a requirement of the current curriculum. However the authors do state that having these skills is beneficial for the students as it can prepare them for future courses. They wanted to findthe levels of strategic Internet skills among secondary students and what factors influence levels. An observational

study was then taken in which subjects were asked to complete assignments on the Internet. Results showed that generally the older a student was the tests were completed faster and had better scores. Nonetheless, the amount of students that did well showed that there is room for improvement. They claimed that informational and strategic Internet skills should be included as standard components of the educational curriculum, but only with specific requirements. I intend to use this source to explain how teacher should be trained and notified about special training that effectively helps in developing and teaching strategic Internet skills and that new educational maternal needs to be implemented that could help with students and how they use sources on the Internet to finish assignments. Gencer, Suzan Lema, and Koc, Mustafa. "Internet Abuse among Teenagers and Its Relations to Internet Usage Patterns and Demographics." Journal of Educational Technology & Society 15.2 (2012): 25-36. The location of this test is explained by Turkey only now rapidly becoming a digitized country. The method used to obtain the qualitative data involved a survey including three main parts. The first part asked for a typical bio of who the student was, the second asked about Internet usage, and the final part was an Internet Addiction Test. Results showed that a majority of the students used the Interne once a day and that 33 percent used it for communication, information, and entertainment. The article also provided a list of symptoms that students felt after an overuse of the Internet. Example being Think of life as boring without the Internet and Lowered productivity. Conclusions state that there is concern of how Internet usage interferes with social, psychological, and academic developments. The study also indicated the Internet abuse is dependent on gender and academic achievement. Hinic, Darko, Mihajlovic, Goran, and Dukic-Dejanovic, Slavica . "Internet Addition in relation to cognitive or somatic Depression Symptoms." This scholarly source attempts to questions of how Internet use correlates with many mental disorders that have recently become big issues. The authors then list many problems that are befalling populations and that are being blamed by the Internet. The authors then state they will focus on Depressions disorder with the hypothesis of there is no statistically significant difference between those diagnosed with depression and Internet addictions. Researchers then conducted questionnaires studying levels of Internet use and addictions among participants who had recently asked for help for problems with depression. Results showed that those more depressed were more likely to be addicted with the Internet, however researcher inferred that only a part of the participants with excessive Internet use reported depressive problems at the same time. The journal concludes that there are many factors that lead to depression, Internet addiction not being one. However, the authors do say that Internet addiction has more influence in birthing somatic symptoms, like exhaustion and other physical wearies. I will use this source by explaining that depression and many other mental disorders are not an effect of the Internet, but that there are only physical wearies as an outcome. MacMillan, Amanda. "Internet addiction linked to ADHD, depression in teens." CNNhealth.com. CNN, 5 Oct. 2009. Web. 22 Apr. 2013. This source discusses Internet addictions and defines is not as an official diagnosis. It claims that there are only signs of a potential problem include using the Internet so much for game playing or other purposes that it interferes with everyday life and decision-making abilities. The study's indication that children who are hyperactive or diagnosed ADHD are finding an outlet on the Web makes such perfect sense," a researcher says, because those children crave the constant stimulation of fast-paced video games and interactive social networks. Research cited claims that there is a significant amount of

children that deal with ADHD issues by using the Internet and that further problems can arise. The article concludes that parents should be wary of how their youth diagnosed with ADHD interact with social media and Internet resources. I will use this source by explaining how the Internet can fuel some mental disorders and that many students with these disorders need to be supervised. This will be in the segment where the counter argument argues against my thesis. Myers, Courtney Boyd. "How the Internet is Revolutionizing Education." the next web insider. The Next Web, 14 May 2011. Web. 29 Apr. 2013. This source explores the concept of how the Interne has established itself in the modern world and that it should be established in educational environments. The author describes how many top tier universities in the US have adopted this method and that virtual schools are becoming a real deal. Many statements from educators claim that there are gaps between higher education and general public and that with some help from online resources things can better for the future. Researcher claim that the old school system is deterring the potentials among students and that if educators can fully implement and correctly use Internet services to its full potential, a significant rise in better education can occur. This will be used to help shed some light on the many benefits the Internet can provide. Also to give examples of schools that are effectively using technology already to their advantage. The study used an Emotion Management Skills Inventory and a Problematic

Internet Usage Scale which measured emotional management skills and the correlation with internet use. Results showed that there was an observable connection where those with high and with average Internet use scored lower in the EMSI test. The researchers concluded that the Internet can be a source of accomplishment and people tend to hide from their fears and emotions while on. I will use this source to explain how there is a positive correlation with how the Internet effects the psyches of students. I will use this in the counter argument segment. Peou, Chivoin, and Lwin, May "Integrating the Internet into Cambodian Higher Education: Exploring Students' Internet Uses, Attitudes & Academic Utilization."International Journal of Emerging Technologies & Society. 9.2 (2011): 95-115. Academic Search Complete. Web. 30 Apr. 2013. This scholarly source explores the idea of implementing Internet and cyber resources to students in Cambodia. Cambodia is described as not having any serious dealings with Internet educational use and so researchers argue that perhaps something should be done. They hypothesize that by providing these services, students will be able to gather information and do better in classes. The research performed included finding how students utilized and felt Internet services. The researchers wanted to see the motivations the students had and see how information seeking, entertainment, and socialization all compared. Results showed that although students enjoyed the social aspects the Internet provided there was an observable under-use of the Internet for educational and teaching purposes. Researchers concluded that educational sessions would be required for to teach the students how to fully utilize the Internet for any hope fore improvement in education. I will use this source by showing how there are positive effects of introducing the Internet to students. I will explain how there is some issues with distractions but will rebuttal by explaining for the need of teachers that can teach responsibility.
