GENESIS The book of Genesis is truly a book of "firsts".

The first life on earth, the first man and woman, and the first sin are found here. first rain, the first flood, the first rainbow, and the first sacrifice show the terrible results of sin. Adam's walk with God ends as Adam disobeys God yet a promise of Savior to come remains. The call of Abram, the wanderings of the "chosen family", the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah show the many ways in which God works. Even in Joseph's slavery and the journey of Jacob's whole family, God's grace and mercy can be seen. More than any other book, Genesis is packed full of history, from time unknown to the time of the Pharaohs and the pyramids.
