GENESIS The book of Genesis is truly a book of "firsts".

The first life on earth, the first man and woman, and the first sin are found here. first rain, the first flood, the first rainbow, and the first sacrifice show the terrible results of sin. Adam's walk with God ends as Adam disobeys God yet a promise of Savior to come remains. Jesus is reflected in the life of Abel, the sacrifice of the animals by Noah, the salvation of the ark, and the promise of the rainbow. a The

The call of Abram, the wanderings of the "chosen family", the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah show the many ways in which God works. Even in Joseph's slavery and the journey of Jacob's whole family, God's grace and mercy can be seen. More than any other book, Genesis is packed full of history, from time unknown to the time of the Pharaohs and the pyramids. You will never forget your study of Genesis, from the serpent in the garden to the bones of Joseph. Gen 1:1-31 1. Who created the earth?
