SYNOPTIC SITUATION A trough of low pressure extends from northern Arabian Sea along coastal Pakistan towards Gulf of Oman. The broad low pressure area over Empty Quarter persists. Another low pressure area lies over southern Iraq. High pressure prevails over north-west Saudi Arabia and northern Iran. Pressure gradient is weak to moderate across Gulf and moderate to strong over southern Iran. FORECAST The broad low pressure area over the Empty Quarter will persist for next few days. The trough of low pressure extending from northern Arabian Sea towards Gulf of Oman also will remain active for next 2-3 days. Broad high pressure area will continue to prevail over northern Saudi Arabia. The weak low pressure area over Iraq will persist for next 48 hours. A ridge of high pressure will extend from north-west Iran towards central Iran by Tuesday. Pressure gradient will remain weak to moderate over the region for next few days. Isolated rain/showers likely across Gulf.
