Arup has been responsible for delivering some of the regions key projects, a few of which are outlined below; from development to practical application of innovative solutions we have delivered exceptional service and value to our clients. Airport Link, Northern Busway (Windsor to Kedron) and Airport Roundabout Upgrade, Qld AirportLink is a $4.8bn infrastructure project consisting of a 6.8km road tunnel, integrated Northern Busway extension and East West Arterial Gateway extension connecting Brisbane Airport, inner northern suburbs and the inner city. Our team undertook geotechnical tender design of driven and TBM tunnel, cut and cover structures and embedded retaining walls. Works include design of all rock support necessary for temporary and permanent tunnel lining. Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) Pipeline, Qld This multi-million dollar water transfer project will augment future water supply to the Gladstone region, and significantly increase GAWBs total supply capacity and double the value of its asset base. Our team undertook the scheme and tender design of the water pipeline between Rockhampton and Gladstone. The commission was subsequently extended to include a scoping study for a proposed desalination project in the area. Olympic Dam Mine Expansion, SA Olympic Dam is the worlds fourth largest copper mine, and single largest uranium deposit. Our team provided a range of services to support the pre-feasibility design of off-site infrastructure to facilitate the mine expansion, including new 100km rail link, 8,000 person construction camp, airport, township expansion, cut and fill to 4m with highly reactive soils and wind-blown sand, underlain by karstic limestone. Downtown Line, Mass Rapid Transit System, Singapore The new 40km fully underground Downtown Line passing through 33 stations will connect the northwestern and eastern regions of Singapore to Marina Bay and the CBD. Our team are delivering all three stages, which includes the design and associated services for stations, shaft, tunnels and cross passages.

Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort, Singapore Dubbed one of Asias most spectacular urban resorts, our team provided geotechnical services for this new casino, resort hotel complex comprising three hotel towers topped with landscaped Skypark, podium consisting of 120,000m of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) space, an iconic Art and Science museum with a 3,000 capacity amphitheatre on the roof, and two 2,000 seat theatres.
