PAPER PREPARATION GUIDELINES

Step 1: Preparation Sample Paper: CLICK HERE for a sample paper. Content: Your paper (referred to as manuscript) must be written in English, and be based on the abstract you submitted. A good practice is for your manuscript to reflect current issues or potential problems and challenges. Your manuscript should not be sales oriented. Formatting: 1. Prepare manuscript in Microsoft Word; convert to an Adobe Acrobat PDF for submission; maximum file size is 5 MB. 2. 3. 4. 5. Set paper as: letter size, 8.5x11. Set all margins at 1. Use a single column format. Use 12-point Times New Roman or Arial font; use of bold, underline, and italic styles may be used. List all authors names, job titles, companies, and countries on the first page of the manuscript. Include a short abstract on the first page of the manuscript. Insert a page number in the lower right corner of each page. Do not use company letterhead, company logos, and/or any headers/footers (beyond the page number).

10. All graphics (high-quality electronic photos, easy-to-read charts, line art) must be included electronically (embedded) within the text of the document, with captions as appropriate. There is no limit to the number of graphics you may include. 11. No minimum or maximum manuscript length.

Proofreading: Proofread your written presentation. Your paper will NOT be edited, rewritten or proofread by the PennWell Conference Management staff. Step 2: Submitting Your Paper (by JUNE 1, 2013): Upload your paper to the HydroVision Brazil secure speaker website. Heres how: 1. Go to www.hydrovisionbrasil.com 2. Click on the conference tab 3. Click on Speaker Login on the left side of the page (i.e., left rail) 4. Type in your ECode. If youve forgotten your ECode, follow the instructions on the page to retrieve it. 5. The session(s) in which you are a speaker appear; click Submit Handout on the right 6. Name your file as the presenters last name, then first name (in the box to the right of File Name); example: a paper by Heather Williams should be named Williams,Heather 7. Browse to find your paper file (Adobe Acrobat PDF file type) 8. Click Submit

Your manuscript will be included in the HydroVision Brasil 2013 Conference Technical Papers Proceedings.
