PRAYER AND PRAISE

Please pray that the Lord would show us what He wants us to address this coming year as we review various aspects of our church life and ministry in the coming months. Please pray that the Lord would fill the Kindy leadership with wisdom and direction as they seek to lay a strong foundation for this work. Please pray that the Lord would give Dianne McGowan wisdom, favour, and blessing as she leads the Children's ministry at WHAC. Please pray for the Carter family as Bruce travels to South Korea for the majority of June. Pray for safety for him, and for Keren as she manages the three children alone. Please pray for the Nanjan family as Naren travels to Greymouth for some work related training. Pray that Naren will complete his studies with excellence, and that all will be well at home in his absence. Pray for two outreaches through the CMAs Bordeaux church plant (France) that are upcoming a music outreach on June 21 at Todd and Terri Althaus home and a roundtable discussion on July 2 at a local pub. Pray for lasting spiritual fruit from both of these events

Are you new to this facility?

We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a new church, so please note that:
The toilets are located down the passage to the right as you exit the sanctuary. The Preschool ministry begins at the start of the service in the foyer, and 3-13 year olds are dismissed part way through the service for Sunday School. Information on who we are, as well as on all of our ministries are available online at www.whac.net.nz Each week, we share a cuppa together after the service, and would love for you to stay for a chat.

OUR DAILY BREAD

On June 10, 1770, British navigator James Cooks ship hit a reef off the northeast coast of Australia. He sailed the ship out into deeper water only to hit the reef again, and this time the collision almost sank the ship. This experience moved Cook to write in the ships log: The north point [was named] Cape Tribulation because here began all our troubles.

MINISTRIES FOR CHILDREN AT WHAC

Ages 0-2 We have a supervised creche fortnightly in the north side of the foyer. Parents are welcome to either drop their kids off, or stay with them. The other two weeks of a month the facilities will be there, but parents will need to supervise their own children. Our Kids Club is divided into two groups, for age appropriate lessons. These take place in the hall during the sermon. A notice will appear on the screen when it is time to dismiss your children.
