Edward get up

I kept telling my brother.

Maybe my vision was a good thing. Now unlock the door. We do have school today.
I didn't want to say this aloud because I was afraid Jasper would worry or
Carlisle. So Edward, my brother, is the only one who knew about it. Edward could
read minds, as I can see the future. We don't know why or how but Carlisle- my
pretend to be father- has a theory that we had some emotional powers when we were
human, and we brought them with us when we became vampires. Even Jasper-my mate-
has an ability to control and read emotions around him.
I sighed because he wouldn't open the door. In my vision I saw him struggling to
retain his thirst. What we couldn't understand is the fact that he has been able
to do thatfor a very long time. I began to walk downstairs until something hard
caught my shoulder and spun me around.
"Alice," Edward muttered, " I don't want you to tell anyone. Especially not
Emmett."
"Fine." I grumbled. Of course Emmett would make fun of him and tease him for the
rest of eternity.

We all shuffled into the Silver Volvo. I let Edward drive today, because I felt
bad that he thinks he is a failure.
Edward rolled his eyes at me and I stiffled a giggle.
"Mmkay," I began, " there is a new student here today, and I really doubt that she
knows of our excistence. So act more normal then usual."
I thouht I heard Emmett sigh. " Why do we even go to school when we can't have any
fun."
Rosalie hissed. She has the hardest time of excepting what we are.As Edward sped
down the road I began to get nervous. What if Edward can't control his thirst?
"Whats wrong?" Jasper asked inturrupting my thoughts. "You seem nervous."
I stared at him and finally answered, " I think I forgot my credit card at home. I
don't think I can go shopping today." I pretended to sigh and pout.
"Oh." Was all that he said. I think he new that I was keeping something from him.
Edward began to slow down a ways because we were in town and we didn't want to
attract attention. I Tried to calm down by thinking of Bella. (The new girl.) What
would she look like? Would she have very tan skin? After all she did come from
Phoenix.
"We're here." Emmett informed me. "So hurry up and get out."
I opened up my door and went out into the light drizzle of rain. I looked inthe
car to see Edwardwasgone already.

I hope he was listening.
Class went by sluggishly. I never was in any classes with Edward so I only got to
see him at lunch. By this time I was in Spanish. And because I knew everything I
needed to know about it, I decided to look out for Edwards future. I put my
fingers on my temples and kept looking and looking until I found something. At
lunch something will happen. Gah! I hate being so blind. WHat will happen? I
though fiercly. The bell rang and I lost my train of thought. I hurried to the
lunch room and got my plate full of the food I wasn't going to eat.
I was the first one at my table. I kept looking out for Edward but I couldn't see
what was going to happen. So I just waited for him. When he would get there I
would ask him some questions about the thoughts of other people here.
Finally he arrived just as Bella came through the door. Edward said 'Hi' when he
sat down but I ignored him. Instead I looked at the little girl with wonder. She
was very pale. Not as pale as me but wasnt she from Arizona?
I watched her as she tripped and stumbled across the room to the lunch line. How
she sat down next to people thatonly liked the way she looked.Then suddenly out of
nowhereI got a clip of the future. She was going to look at us in two seconds so I
quickly turned my head away.
I felt her gaze on all five of us. I decided I would get to class early so I stood
up and nearly skipped to garbage can and emptied my tray. I walked out of the
lunch room but heard her say "Who are they?" I smiled. Just like the rest of them.
Staring in awe.

When I walked into the classroom and found I was the first one there I wasn't
surprised. I almost took my seat until I got another vision. Edward. I had to hold
on to the table for support. He wasn't going to make was he? Who? How? I looked
farther into the future and saw Bella. This confused me. What did she have to do
with anything? She was in the same class as him. But what.....oh no. I thought.
Was Bella going to die? Why her? No. I thought. Edward is strong enough to make it
through a while without killing someone. Isn't he?
I didn't have time to answer my own qeustion. Kids started filing in one by one. I
sat down and pretended that everything was fine. pretended than Edward and Bella
weren't in trouble.

As soon as my two classes were over I raced out of the room-in a speed that was
fast but wouldn't make kids think we were different-out to the car. When I saw
Edward out there I got a glimpse of the future.
You're leaving?
"Am I?"
Just then Rosalie and Jasper opened the door with Emmett taging along.When they
were all safely in i asked more questions.
Why?
He just lightly shook his head from side to side.
It's that girl isn't it?
He nodded. When we were only a few miles away from our house he stopped the car.
"Damnet Edward!" Emmett yelled,"What is up with you?"
I'll miss you. I thought.
Edward frowned slightly.
"Okay you guys. Lets go." I muttered. Anyone could hear the agony in my voice.
Everyone looked confused but followed my orders. As soon as we were out of the
Volvo Edward sped away waving once.
"What is going on?" Emmett demanded.
"He's being an idiot again." Rosalie hissed.
"Alice, he isn't acting right." Jasper worried.
They all talked above eachother, so I decided to take them home where I could hold
a meeting and then even tell Esme.

"He left?" Esme gasped, "But..but why?"

Everyone had turned to stones except for Esme.
I didn't know how to explain it. "He....found this girl that...that smelled better
then anyone he has ever met. At least that's what he thinks."
Emmett suddenly snickered.
"This isn't funny Emmett!" Jasper yelled at him.
"No! I know that but the same thing happened to me. Remember?"
"Yes! You're right. So it is the same thing. We can just go and tell him." Esme
chided.
"No Esme. We cant. He wont trust us. he is so ashamed of himself. He'll come back
if he wants to." All of our hopes plummeted in to the ground.

Bella

Days past. Edward didn't come home. I even would sometimes look out of the corner
of my eye and see that Bella would look at our table and sigh.
Then at the lunch table one day i saw a vision. Edward is running home right this
second. We will see him tonight. And he will come to school tomorrow.
Jasper gently nudged me. "What is it? he whispered so low that a normal human
would have no chance of hearing it.
"Edward is coming home tonight! Right now!" I mummbled back.
Everyone cheered up slightly. Even Rosalie did. The day sped by like a rocket. It
was only a few hours later when Edward got home. We each got our turns to hug him
and welcome him back. Carlisle seemed unsure of why Edward wanted to come back
though.
We all had to be in the same room as him. I was afraid that he would run off again
so I never left his side.

We were at the lunch table discussing whether or not Edward could make it through
the day.
In some part of our conversation though Bella came in and we all dropped dead
silent.
She became silent too. I could sense her staring at us.
"Hello? Bella? What do you want?" I heard a girl named Jessica Stanley ask her.
But strangely the girl didn't answer.
What did you do to her? I thought at Edward. He just kept looking down.
"Whats with bella?" A boy named Mike asked Jessica.
"Nothing," Bella answered too quickly. "I'll just get a soda today."
Edward, I swear if you every hurt her like that again I will hurt you back.
Edward looked at me confused. Suddenly I became confued too. Why would I do that.
I don't know this girl.
"Arn't you hungry?" I heard Jessica try to persuade Bella.
"Actually, I feel a little sick," She mummbled.
She sat down next to them at the table and stared down.
I started to look ahead to the future until jessica inturrupted my thoughts once
again.
"Bella, what are you staring at?"
As if his name was called Edward stared at the girl. A frustrated look on his
face.
"Edward Cullen is staring at you," Jessica giggled.
"He doesn't look angry does he?" Bella asked. I nudged Edward.
"No, should he be?" She asked bewildered.
" I don't think he likes me very much." She answered.
"The Cullens don't like anybody," She paused, " Well, they don't notice anybody
enough to look at them. But he's still staring at you."
"Stop looking at him." Bella hissed.
Jessica giggled but followed orders.
"Edward, do you think you can do it? Make it through the rest of the day?"I asked
as bella left the room.
Before he could get out his answer Rosalie hissed. " I dont think he should chance
it. I don't want to move again! Im already settled here." She grumbled.
"Get to class." Edward said suddenly. He walked out of the room angry and ashamed.
