The Dangerous Drug Act of 1972 Republic Act No.

6426 Article IV Section 23 For the purpose of enforcing the provisions of Article II and III of this Act, all school Heads, Supervisors and Teachers deemed to be persons in authority and as such are hereby vested with the power to apprehend, arrest or cause the apprehension or arrest any person who shall violate any of the said provisions. They shall be considered as persons in authority if they are in school or with its immediate school or class function in their official capacity as school heads, supervisors or teachers. Any teacher or school employee who discovers or find out that any person in school or within the vicinity is violating any provision of the Article II or III of this Act shall have the duty to report the violation to the proper authority. Failure to report in either case shall after hearing constitute cause for disciplinary action.

HISTORY OF BUNGUIAO NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL Bunguiao National High School was established in 1989 as an annex Barangay High School of Manicahan National High School. The school caters the high school age population coming from the nine ( 9 ) feeder schools namely: Bunguiao Elementary School, Shigeru Memorial Elementary School, Udjung Elementary School, Baluno Elementary School, Dulian Elementary School, Eligna Elementary School, Sapa Seco Elementary School, Nangka Elementary School and Camp Socorro Elementary School. The school is situated in a hilltop, a one-hectare lot which was donated by the Enriquez family of Bunguiao , Zamboanga City. At present, the school has six ( 6 ) school buildings. One was constructed by the city government and is to be rehabilitated. One building constructed under JICA houses the Science Laboratory and Computer Laboratory. Three ( 3 ) buildings also constructed by the city government are currently in used as instructional classrooms. One administration building houses the School Administrator and teachers and one building constructed by the Department of Public Work and Highway which also needs repair. In its twenty years of existence, the school gains its independence from Manicahan National High School as one of the new legislated high school under Republic Act No. 9606. Authored by Congressman Erbie A. Fabian, the law was passed and subsequently approved by Her Excellency President Gloria M. Arroyo.

DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE STUDENT ( DepEd Order No. 92, series 1992 ) A.1.) Uniform >The prescribed uniform for male; Blue slacks or maong pants, white polo with school seal and for female; White blouse baby collar with a blue ribbon and a Royal Blue Skirt. The skirt must be two (2) inches below the knee. >Shoes are considered part of the uniform. >All students must come to school in proper uniform for classes, examinations, and other non-academic purposes on school days. >MAPEH uniform must be worn only Fridays. A.2.) Haircut >Male prescribed haircut is crew cut style with slide shaved of one (1) inches above the ears and three (3) inches above the collar. >Haircut inspection is being conducted every first week of the month. A.3.) Students Identification Card >School ID must be worn and displayed before entering and while inside the campus. >ID is not transferable. >Lost ID must be reported and be replaced immediately. A.4.) Attendance >Punctual and Regular attendance are required of the student at all times and other activity. >When a student incurred absence/s, he/she must submit letter of excuse. >Non-attendance in any announced gatherings or activity is considered as absent. >Excused absences are not exempted from requirements or any academic works. >Parents will be required to come if already incurred several absences in case of prolong illness or urgent matters. >Leaving the school premises during class hours is not allowed without the permission of the teacher/adviser. >A student who incurs absences of more than 20% of the prescribed number classes or laboratory period during the school year or terms will be given a failing grade. A.5) Tardiness >A student is late if he/she arrives after the flag ceremony everyday and who is not in the classroom when the bell rings to start the classes. >A student will be marked absent if he/she incurs three (3) late. >Parents will be required to come if son/daughter already incurred several unexcused tardiness. A.6.) Cutting Classes >Any cutting classes incurred, be it in academic or non-academic subjects, is equivalent to one day absent. Parents will be invited when their child committed this infraction many times. >Parents asking their children to go home during class hours must send written communication duly signed by them.

A.7.) Others >The faculty room is an off-limit area to all students at all times except on official purposes. >Priority use of the school facilities is hereby given to the faculty if for instructional purposes. > Students are expected to use the language of instruction in school. >Due respect must be accorded the faculty and person in authority inside and outside the school premises.
