The skull is a bony structure in the head of many animals that supports the structures of theface and forms

a cavity for the brain.

The hyoid bone (lingual bone) (/had/; Latin os hyoideum) is a horseshoe-shaped bone situated in the anterior midline of the neckbetween the chin and thethyroid cartilage. At rest, it lies at the level of the base of themandible in the front and the third cervical vertebra (C3) behind.
The vertebral column, also known as backbone or spine, is a bony structure found in Vertebrates. It is formed from the vertebrae. In vertebrateanatomy, ribs (Latin:costae) are the long curved boneswhich form the cage. In mostvertebrates, ribs surround the chest, enabling the lungs to expand and thus facilitatebreathing by expanding the chest cavity. They serve to protect the lungs, heart, and other internalorgans of the thorax. In some animals, especially snakes, ribs may provide support and protection for the entire body. The upper limb or upper extremity is the region in an animal extending from thedeltoid region to the hand, [1] including the arm, axilla andshoulder. The pectoral girdle orshoulder girdle is the set ofbones which connects theupper limb to the axial skeletonon each side. It consists of theclavicle and scapula in humans and, in those species with three bones in the pectoral girdle, thecoracoid. Some mammalianspecies (e.g. the dog and thehorse) have only the scapula. In humans, the only true anatomical joints between the shoulder girdle and axial skeleton are the sternoclavicular joints on each side. No anatomical joint exists between each scapula and therib cage; instead the muscular connection or physiological joint between the two permits great mobility of the shoulder girdle compared to the compactpelvic girdle i.e. because the upper limb is not usually involved in weight bearing, its stability has been sacrificed in exchange for greater mobility. In those species having only the scapula, no joint exists between the forelimband the thorax, the only attachment being muscular. The pelvis, or pelvic bone, derived from the Latin word for 'basin', is an anatomicalstructure found in most vertebrates. It is the name given to both a bony structure orpelvic girdle connecting the base of the spine to the rear limbs, and the region of the body defined by that structure. The muscles and tissue beneath the pelvic girdle are known as the pelvic floor. The rounded epiphysis of the femur called the Headarticulates with [1] the pelvic bone at the Hip Joint at the acetabulum. The human leg is the entire lower extremity or limb[1][2] of the human body, including thefoot, thigh and even the hip orgluteal region; however, the precise definition in human anatomy refers[3][4][5] only to the section of the lower limb extending from the knee to theankle. Legs are used for standing, walking, jumping, running, kicking, and similar activities, and constitute a significant portion of a person's mass.
