Senior Finance Officer Introduction

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Senior Finance Officer.
Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible to:


prepare monthly portfolios of AKHMCF, Provident Fund (PF), Gratuity Fund (GF) and AKUF-P maintain general ledger of investment related accounts of AKHMCF, AKUPF, AKUGF and process year end closings critically manage and prepare monthly intra unit reconciliation of the bifurcated portfolios of gratuity funds - defined benefit and contribution scheme prepare cash flows and other working papers for board meetings of PF/GF and AKUF-P and prepare minutes of the meeting supervise AKUF-P accounting and investment related transactions and check bank reconciliations and investment related vouchers prepare banking analysis on half yearly basis and evaluate strength prepare analysis of mutual funds and listed companies, as and when required prepare AKHMCF annual audit schedules and provide support to payroll for preparation and finalization of PF and GF financial statements and audit schedules.

Payroll Clerk, Finance Division Introduction

Responsibilities

Duties will include:


processing of payment vouchers for advances prompt verification of supporting documents and passing the journals of advance payments processing of telephone, fuel, travel and reimbursement of payment vouchers reconciliation of staff advances accounts and generating aging reports

regular follow up on outstanding amounts and ensure prompt recovery through the payroll preparation of monthly schedules of new advance accounts

Requirements

Applicants should:

have a CPA II or equivalent and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) is an added advantage have at least two years in a similar position with experience working in a busy Finance Department as an added advantage.
