Figura 1: Problema 3. 4. Uma linha de transmisso de l = 0.3 terminada com uma impedncia complexa como mostrado na Fig. 2. Calcule o coeciente de reexo na carga, VSWR da linha, o coeciente de reexo na entrada da linha e a impedncia de entrada.
Figura 2: Problema 4. 5. A 75 coaxial transmission line has a length of 2.0 cm and is terminated with a load impedance of 37.5 + j75. If the relative permittivity of the line is 2.56 and the frequency is 3.0 GHz, nd the input impedance to the line, the reection coecient at the load, the reection coecient at the input, and the SWR on the line. 1
6. A terminated transmission line with Z0 = 60 has a reection coecient at the load of = 0.460o . (a) What is the load impedance? (b) What is the reection coecient 0.3 away from the load? (c) What is the input impedance at this point? 7. A 100 transmission line has an eective dielectric constant of 1.65. Find the shortest open-circuited length of this line that appears at its input as a capacitor of 5 pF at 2.5 GHz. Repeat for an inductance of 5 nH. 8. A lossless transmission line is terminated with a 100 load. If the SWR on the line is 1.5, nd the two possible values for the characteristic impedance of the line. 9. Let Zsc be the input impedance of a length of coaxial line when one end is short-circuited, and let Zoc be the input impedance of the line when one end is open-circuited. Derive an expression for the characteristic impedance of the cable in terms of Zsc and Zoc . 10. Consider a nonreciprocal transmission line having dierent propagation constants, + and , for propa+ gation in the forward and reverse directions, with corresponding characteristic impedances Z0 and Z0 . (An example of such a line could be a microstrip transmission line on a magnetized ferrite substrate.) If the line is terminated as shown in Fig. 3, derive expressions for the reection coecient and impedance seen at the input of the line.
