Personal Background
Mathew is General Manager of ActionCOACH Business Coaching in Darwin. His connection with the Territory goes back to his fathers time spent working on trawlers in the Arafura Sea in the 1970s. Mathew is active in the local community and supports the local economy through business coaching and personal mentoring. W hen you get to devote your days to helping and watching others achieve their goals and experience tremendous breakthroughs in their personal lives and businesses it is very fulfilling. When not busy raising his 3 year old daughter with his wife, Mathews hobbies include cycling, running and playing golf.

Experience
Prior to assuming the position of General Manager Action COACH Darwin, Mathew worked in the Hotel, Tourism and Real Estate industries for over 20 years. His experience includes 10 years working In Japan for a major international Hotel Chain as well as 10 years in senior management positions back home in Australia. Working in Asia has taught me a great deal about effective customer service, team work and marketing and I have applied that knowledge to building customer and marketing focused businesses that grow. In leading teams through growth I have focused on the key areas of creating a customer focus, enhancing leadership development, teambuilding, staff accountability and effective communication. When a leader is effective in developing and growing those areas of a business, results WILL happen! In my case success came when I started to see my team members become empowered and transform from ordinary individuals to extraordinary teams. This breakthrough gave me the freedom to be more strategic with my business planning and to grow my business through community involvement and networking.
