In this chapter" Church militant of Islam" the writer Syed Ameer Ali describes the efforts of Islam against sin and sinners. A small comparison of Islam with Christanity is also discussed. The conception that islam is spread under the shadow of sword is discussed here.The tribes of arabia comprising of Jews and Quresh were very jealouse of this new religion islam which was spreading like fire and was threatning to consume whole of arabia in very little time unlike other religions which took much more time to make a mark . Mohammad who was the last prophet was on hit list of many. Because christianity was kept in dark and nothing was clear while islam laid the simple rules so people started accepting this new religion very reluctantly.Since the early times the Porphet SAW told his followers not to attack any man. Many battles were fought under the command of Mohammad SAW but all in the name is Islam and to defend its followers. It was general order only to use sword in self defence. Prophet Mohammad SAW gave the message of peace and humainty charity and love. Like the Porphet of Nazreth, Mohammad SAW and his followers were first facing opposition and resistance due to the non influental quantity of his followers But later with the passage of time the situation changed darmatically. The muslims saw war as object of life, as their number increased the circumstances changed. Slowly and gradually by the gentle gestures of the Prophet, the barbarious people of Arabia became united and induced habbits of self controll and self denial for the very first time. Another thing introudced by islam was the dictinction on the basis of Religion . There were only two types of people in the world. The muslims and the non muslims. The principle directions of Mohammad SAW on which muslim laws of war are founded, show the wisdom and humanity which animated the Islamic system." and fight for the religion of GOD against those who fight against you, If they attack you slay them, but if they desist let there be no hostility, except against the ungodly"

Gestures like these won the hearts of many nations like Mesopotania and Byzantine. Greeks fought only to increase their land area but Muslims fought to establish general peace in the region.In the same eara the Muslims entered the land of Persia. The Persians accepted the religion of Mohammad SAW and is often taken as proof of intolerence chasracter of Islam. Despite all after some time a general acceptance of Islam was announced in Persia and it became forever attached to islam. When Islam emerged in arabia and the world as renowned power, it had the option to forcefully make the people accept the religion but Islam mentained the stratigy of self defence. It never interfered with the dogmas of moral faith or never established an inquisition. Unlike Christanity, Islam mentained a peaceful agenda. The new born Churches disagreed among themselves or with the Church of Rome, but Islam on the other hand had same manners for all. The guiding principle book THE HOLY QURAN is the same while THE HOLY BIBLE has been ammended many times by the will of its followers. The depiction of Christianity in the world has been shown as unjustful.On many occasions the punishments differ for the same unorthodox acts in different parts of the worlds, but in Islam anywhere in the world , the universal equality is upheld.The difference in religion made the forceful christians kill thousands of people but in Islam the difference in religion was welcomed. People with different believes were allowed to live with muslims and practise their own religion.
