We regret to announce the peaceful passing of Lorne on June 25, 2013. Lorne leaves to mourn, his wife Anne of 48 years, his children: Lorne Jr. (Laura), Andy, and Shannon (Glen), seven grandchildren; Jordie, Kara (Miles), Kyle, Garrett, Emma, Kelsey-Ann and Courtney. Lorne was born in Terrace on February 2, 1943. Lorne and Anne married in Terrace on December 21, 1964 and this is where their three children were born. In 1971, the family moved to Merritt where Lorne started work with Nadina Logging, hauling logs. Lorne continued hauling logs in the Nicola Valley until October 2012. Lorne was a proud Lifetime Member of the Kinsmen Club of Merritt. Lornes passions were his family, hunting, fishing, camping and in his later years, the casino and golfing at the Quilchena Golf Course with his wife by his side. A memorial tea will be held at the Catholic Church Hall in Merritt on Saturday, June 29 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Coquihalla-Gillis House Palliative Care Unit.
