I was responsible for all potential quality issues involving Global Recall Recovery Rework (G3R). Managing the G3R process, evaluating the safety risks, developing, validating and implementing action plans. The Project calls for SF6 Gas Reduction & Retrofit Kits Installation of Ringmaster SF6 Ring Main Units supplied and installed in Gulf Area and replacement of ring main units that has lost gas due to a premature fracture of the safety membrane due to hot climatic conditions. Assigned and acted as project manager for the retrofit and upgrade of ring main units sold and installed in Gulf Area. Managed a group of subcontractors to carry out the works in UAE, Qatar, Oman& Kuwait.

Coordinated with electrical authorities and end users for the planned shutdown schedules to execute the modification and (or) replacement of the units. Reduced the SF6 gas fill pressure from 0.8barg (at 20C) to 0.55barg (at 20C) of Ringmaster RN2c (and RE2c, RE6c and RN6c) ring main units that were at either the customer stores or premises or installed on site. Installed outdoor and indoor venting kits for internal arc proof protection.

Client: Abu Dhabi Company For Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) The Project calls for supply and installation of new pipelines and the replacement of existing line pipe, installation of valves and fire fighting systems, instrumentation, electrical, telecommunication and civil works. The electrical scope of work includes cathodic protection, lightning protection, cables and cable trenching, power supply arrangement, control room modification, CCTV system, earthing, lighting etc. My role within the project was the implementation of related QA/QC activities for the works as detailed in relevant Inspection and Testing Plans (ITPs). Ensure that the activities on site are done according to the project specifications in compliance with approved method statement. Inspect and satisfy myself with the completed work before requesting ADCO approval or inspection. Receive the request for inspections from Site Engineer / Foreman for necessary inspection of completed work with ADCO and release it for further activity. Regularly conduct site inspections and monitor the activities for their conformance with applicable specifications and drawings. Maintain quality records of inspections certified by ADCO for any future reference.

a Joint Venture Company Between Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and ABB Site Execution (Major Projects): GUPCO Gas Plant substation retrofit and upgrading. Headed a team of two electrical technician and electricians to execute the following: The installation of the power station main switchgear, which included the control panels of two different types of generators, the distribution panels, MCC and the accessory panels in a pressurized shelter. The power cabling, including cable termination and cable tray installation. The interconnection cabling inside the pressurized shelter.

The turbines control cabling. New electrical network at ZEITCO (ex- Ocean Energy): Followed up the fabrication of the substation in our workshops. Installed the panels and the room electrical equipment. Headed a team of one electrical technician and 6 others and installed the substation on the offshore platform. Installed the cable trays allover the platform and the MCT on the substation room. Lay and terminate cables. Carried out tests and handover. Overhead transmission lines at Qarun Petroleum Company (QPCLagoon area). Headed a similar team as above to execute the following: Determine the overhead line route. Erect the pole. Install the overhead line. Install the step down transformers and the electrical accessories, including the termination of cables connecting to the pumps on the production wells. Well A-16 ESP Surface Facilities Hookup at ZEITCO (ex- Ocean Energy): Headed a team of electrical technicians, welders, riggers, grinders and others and carried out the construction activities for the hookup and installation of well A-16 electrical submersible pump Reda (ESP) surface facilities under supervision of Schlumberger. Completed all construction activities in a safe and professional manner during the planned schedule without any production interruption and up to the full satisfaction of ZEITCO. AGIBA (Ashrafi WHP-2 platform): Platform upgrading project. Ocean Energy (Zeitco): Installation of gas detection system at oil tanks area.
