Faults of dyeing: There are various faults which occur during dyeing.

The faults of dyeing textile materials and their remedies are discussed below: 1. Stripping: The process by which extraction of color from a dyed textile material can be done is called stripping. The reasons for stripping a dyed textile material are given below:
stripping - removal of dye from fabric Stripping is usually done with a reducing agent such as thiox, formosul or sodium hydrosulfite and requires hot to boiling conditions. Some dyes are difficult to strip, and the result often is not white.

Stripping of textile material can be done due to mostly unevenness of dyeing. Problems with shade matching. Due to bad appearance of the fabric. Due to listing and tailing problem of the fabric. Due to various other reasons. For example; wrong coloring, fabric fault, spot marks of various kinds, etc.

2. Topping: The process by which the proper color of the textile material can be achieved if the fabric color has not reached its proper shade and the color

3. Stain Removing Process: The process for removing stain marks from the fabric is given below: Sodium Chlorite: 1gm/l Sodium Oxalate: 1gm/l Potassium Dihydrogen Phosphate: 2gm/l
