Hyderabad, March 02, 2012 - Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (DICV), the Indian subsidiary of the worlds leading truck manufacturer Daimler AG, today unveiled a new range of trucks under its brand BharatBenz. In a special premiere spanning six-days at the Hyderabad International Convention Center, future customers and brand partners like dealers & suppliers will experience BharatBenz trucks for the very first time. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Marc Llistosella, CEO and Managing Director of DICV said: Today is a proud moment for all of us at Daimler as we present the outcome of our hard work over the last years - the first range of BharatBenz trucks. BharatBenz, as a brand, stands for our commitment to India. It is the first time ever that Daimler has dedicated a brand entirely to one market. Also, with an overall investment of Rs. 4,400 crore, it is one of the biggest Greenfield investments outside Europe Daimler have ever made. Explaining the launch plan for the BharatBenz range, he added: Exciting time s lie ahead of us. We will start our market launch in the 3rd quarter with the introduction of three models. This will be followed by the launch of our entire product portfolio, consisting of 17 models, over the next 20 months. The BharatBenz range of trucks unveiled today includes Light Duty Trucks (LDT) & Heavy Duty Trucks (HDT) in the 9, 12, 25, 31 and 49 tonnes category, featuring various usages and applications. The LDT, based on the Fuso Canter platform, features a four-cylinder engine in two variants of 100 KW (140 HP) and 125 KW (175 HP). It is available as 9-tonne Rigid, as well as 12-tonne (Rigid or Construction). As an industry first in the LDT segment, BharatBenz offers Anti-roll

bars for added stability, as well as comfort features like A/C option and a tuned suspension system for best ride comfort. The HDT, based on the Mercedes-Benz Axor platform, features a six-cylinder engine in two variants of 170 KW (231 HP) and 205 KW (279 HP). It is available as 25-tonne (Rigid or Construction), 31-tonne (Rigid or Construction) and 49-tonne tractor-trailer. The rigid truck, as an industry first, has intra-axle differential lock as a standard fitment and balancer type rear suspensions that gives more traction on loose ground. Also unique is the fact that engine driven applications (like Mixers) can directly be powered from the truck-engine, without having to add a separate engine for the application. Mr. Aydogan Cakmaz, Vice President, Product Engineering, said: Our trucks are based on two of the most successful platforms proven across the globe, the Fuso Canter and the Mercedes-Benz Axor. But for that, we have literally taken every part, re-developed and redesigned it for Indian conditions like overloading, rugged terrain and poor roads. This reengineering has been the key for the development of a new generation of products, which are 85% localized right from the beginning, to perfectly fit to the Indian customers requirements. Our BharatBenz trucks have been benchmarked and tested for over 4.5 million kilometers on our specially designed test track. We dont test our products on the customer. When a customer buys our product, he gets a 100% tested and reliable product, that powers him ahead. Mr. V.R.V. Sriprasad, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, After-sales, said: We believe that our trucks will contribute to our customers success. This is why we have priced them competitively in the volume segment. Importantly, we have focused on offering value-formoney features, which includes significant fuel efficiency advantages, best in class reliability with parts engineered for long lifespan and longer service intervals, which will reduce the operational cost and keep the trucks running. In the first phase, BharatBenz trucks will be sold and serviced over a network of 70 dealerships. This will be extended to more than 100 dealerships by 2014.

Partnership is a core value of BharatBenz, Sriprasad said. Our trained sales force consults rather than mere sell the product and they will stay with the customer as their key contact over the whole lifecycle of the truck. This partnership approach also reflected in our 24/7 service, that will feature roadside assistance for best service reach, Interactive Vehicle Diagnostics and short turnaround time, he added. Backed by the financial power and expertise of Daimlers financial arm - Daimler Financial Services - customers will benefit from the captive financier under the name of BharatBenz Financial. With the help of BharatBenz Financial, a DFS India brand, we will offer financing solutions, insurance and service contracts to our customers, said Sriprasad. India's first Branded Commercial Vehicle Insurance - BharatBenz Insurance - offers cashless facility including Zero depreciation and full maintenance contracts. This integrated approach will offer our customers the benefits of products and financial services under one roof, making ownership a hassle-free experience. BharatBenz also has tied up with three leading Indian banks HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Sundaram Finance, who will offer tailored financing solutions for customers, who want to become part of the new Trucking Experience

BharatBenz to redefine Indias trucking industry New Indian truck brand BharatBenz to present its full product lineup in March 2012

At a sneak preview for selected Indian journalists, Daimler Trucks subsidiary Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) revealed the new BharatBenz brand heavy-duty truck today. With its first-ever truck Made in India, BharatBenz will enter the promising Indian market for medium heavy-duty and heavy-duty commercial vehicles. India has become the worlds third-largest truck market in recent years, boasting a volume far above 300,000 units in 2011. To emphasize the importance of this commercial vehicle premiere for his division, Andreas Renschler, the Daimler Board of Management Member responsible for Daimler Trucks and Daimler Buses, said: Our strategy focuses on profitable growth. We want to boost our sales in existing markets as well as new ones. Our strategy for the new growth markets is to operate as globally as possible, on the one hand, and as locally as necessary on the other. According to Renschler, this strategy is reflected in the new BharatBenz trucks. The trucks are based on existing Daimler commercial vehicle platforms. Indian specialists developed the trucks for the local market, where they are also built, he said. This is the most effective way for us to participate in the growth of Indias volume segment. Our product range focuses on quality, reliability, and efficiency and particularly targets the modern domestic segment, which shows huge growth potential and reflects the growing demands of Indian customers. On March 2, 2012, BharatBenz will unveil its entire truck lineup in the 6 to 49-ton range. The BharatBenz heavy-duty truck will be built on the Mercedes-Benz Axor platform, and the future light and medium-duty trucks will be based on the Fuso Canter and Fighter series. The new trucks will meet Indias BS III emissions standard [comparable to Euro III]. Trucks developed especially for the Indian market Speaking to the press at the preview of the new heavy-duty truck in New Delhi, Marc Llistosella, Managing Director and CEO of Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, said:

BharatBenz mirrors our long-term commitment to India. It is a successful synergy of Indian engineering and German DNA. We will offer modern trucks that will redefine the Indian trucking experience. With this preview, we are introducing a completely new truck designed from scratch. We are confident that the introduction of modern trucks with greater fuel efficiency, improved safety features, and competitive pricing will make us the game changer in the Indian trucking industry. The quality of the trucks also plays a major role in this strategy. To ensure maximum reliability of the trucks from the very start, they have been through 4 million kilometers of intensive testing on our test track in Oragadam and have been assessed under the most strenuous driving conditions, Llistosella added. Trucks Made in India The light, medium-duty, and heavy-duty range of BharatBenz commercial vehicles will be manufactured at the new plant in Oragadam near Chennai in Southern India. Construction of the plant on an area of 160 hectares is almost completed, and production trial runs for engines and transmissions have already begun. The production facility has a total dedicated investment of over 44 billion Indian rupees (approximately 700 million). The plants initial production capacity will be 36,000 units per year and can be ramped up to 70,000 units per year. Cooperation with local suppliers and expansion of the dealership network Using comprehensive processes, DICV has worked hard to set up a network of Indian suppliers and dealerships in the past few months. This included stringent quality and due diligence tests for each enterprise. The Indian subsidiary of Daimler Trucks now cooperates with more than 450 suppliers. Because the future BharatBenz trucks will have a localization rate of 85 percent, DICV will make full use of the Indian supplier industrys potential from the very first vehicle it produces. By the end of the year, the companys dealership network will encompass around 70 locations throughout India, and DICV plans to further extend its sales network all over the country. DICV has some of Indias leading car and commercial vehicle dealerships on board. In July, Daimler launched a financial services subsidiary for the Indian market, called Daimler Financial Services India, which will offer financing and insurance products for dealers and their customers in order to support sales of BharatBenz vehicles. Heritage

125 years of innovation. And the passion is only growing. Daimler's rich heritage of excellence.

Well over a century ago, when horse drawn modes of transport were the only known ways of personal mobility in the world, Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz came up with a revolutionary idea. An idea that laid the foundation for the future of transportation. They introduced the world to motorised movement. Innovation and excellence were core to their philosophy. True to this, they went on to become pioneers in the automotive industry with a series of inventions and innovations. They gave the world the first car, the first truck, the first bus and a gamut of new technologies that were ahead of their times. The numerous patents in automotive safety, performance, comfort and eco-friendly technologies stand testimony to their commitment to redefining mobility for the world. As the world evolved, so did the philosophy. Designers and engineers refined it and took it forward with passion. The spirit of innovation and excellence that defined the company over a century ago continues to do so even today. With a passion that is growing day by day.

Company History Here you will find an overview of Daimler AGs history, from the beginnings of the automobile with Benz Patent Motorcar through to fuel cells and electric cars. From Gottlieb Daimlers experimental workshop in his garden shed to a global corporation providing personal mobility in more than 200 countries throughout the world.

Beginnings of the automobile: the predecessor companies (1886-1920) Few inventions have influenced the world's development as deeply as the invention of the automobile. The pioneers of automobile manufacture in the outgoing 19th century were Gottlieb Daimler (1834-1900) and Carl Benz (1844-1929).

Daimler-Benz between the wars: merger and world economic crisis (1920-1933) The end of the First World War raised great challenges for the German motor vehicle industry. In the years from 1914 to 1919 hardly any development work had been car-ried out on civilian products.

Daimler-Benz in the Nazi Era (1933-1945) From 1937, Daimler-Benz AG increasingly produced armament items such as the LG 3000 truck, and aircraft engines such as the DB 600 and DB 601. To create additional capacity for aircraft engine production in addition to the Marienfelde plant, the Genshagen plant was built.

Reconstruction (1945-1949) The assessment of the war damage in 1945 was disillusioning for the company under the Potsdam Agreement all German assets abroad were confiscated and used for the payment of reparations. Daimler-Benz lost all foreign subsidiaries, affiliates and branches as well as all assets in the Soviet-occupied areas.

Economic miracle and return to the world market (1949-1960) During the period from 1949 to 1960, in the fast-expanding German automotive industry Daimler-Benz AG succeeded in regaining the position it had enjoyed before the Second World War.

Growth in all areas: from the 1960s to the mid-1980s Daimler-Benz, all-rounder in the vehicle industry, defended its outstanding position in the international motor vehicle markets in the 1960s and 1970s while the overall industry was subject to sharp fluctuations in sales. In Europe, Daimler-Benz was leader both in the production of cars for discriminating requirements as well as trucks and buses.

Integrated technology group: change in corporate strategy (1984-1995) The second oil crisis at the end of the 1970s, growing environmental discussion, and the advance of new Asian competitors changed the basic conditions for further development of the company.

"World Corp." vision: the merger between Daimler and Chrysler (1995-2007) In 1995 the new Chairman of the Board of Management, Jrgen E. Schrempp, initiated a strategic realignment of the group, since many of the existing business units did not enjoy a favourable competitive position.

Daimler AG since 2007

As a result of the real-estate crisis in the USA, recession set in worldwide. Having only hit the finance sector at the start, it escalated at the end of 2008 into a global economic crisis that deeply affected the automotive industry worldwide.

Mercedes-Benz plays a pioneering role particularly in the field of safety technology. Many innovative ideas which became reality for the first time in a Mercedes-Benz passenger car continue to influence all aspects of automobile development to this day. They include the anti-lock braking system (ABS, 1978), the airbag (1980) and the Electronic Stability Program (ESP, 1995). Today, Brake Assist Plus with PRE SAFE Brakes, the drowsiness detection system ATTENTION ASSIST, Blind Spot Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Collision Prevention Assist, installed as standard in the Mercedes-Benz A- and B-Class, together with many other driver assistance and comfort systems, make MercedesBenz vehicles the safest automobiles in the world. Mercedes-Benz is developing new models with great attention to detail, while always delivering a successful combination of fascination and responsibility. With the new hybrid models E300 BlueTEC HYBRID and E 400 HYBRID, the brand is setting new efficiency benchmarks. With a fuel consumption of 4.2 l/100 km, the E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID is the most economical luxury class model in the world. Meanwhile, the two E-Class models herald the start of a hybrid campaign.

In 2011, with the new B-Class, the Mercedes-Benz compact class campaign began. Even safer, more agile and more efficient than before, this multitalented vehicle is ideal for young families. The new A-Class followed in 2012: with a strikingly emotive design and powerful engines ranging from 80 kW (109 HP) to 155 kW (211 HP), extreme efficiency with emissions values from 98 g CO2/km, and with a best-in-class cd value of 0.27 (combined fuel consumption: 6.43.8 l/100km; combined CO2 emissions: 14898 g/km, energy efficiency class: C-A+)*, the vehicle is seen as the The pulse of a new generation. Being the best is not about size, but about appeal, quality and style. With a total of five compact class models instead of the previous two, the Mercedes-Benz brand will be able to completely satisfy demands and fully embrace the spirit of a rapidly growing customer group. Mercedes-Benz is developing innovative telematics and infotainment systems, turning the vehicle into a mobile communications centre. Today, the COMAND Online telematics system already provides secure and convenient internet access in many Mercedes-Benz vehicle models. It consists of cloud-based Mercedes-Benz apps which, amongst other things, allow the integration of Google Local Search including Google Street View and Panoramio, and also Facebook. Mercedes-Benz meets its social obligations by providing high levels of funding for sports. Through the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, more than 1.5 million disadvantaged children and young people are supported in more than 90 social sports projects. The new 2012 smart fortwo model generation is the continuation of a unique success story for smart. As a trendsetter the smart fortwo has been redefining individual urban mobility for more than ten years now with a high fun factor and ecological standards. With its compact dimensions the two-seater takes up less road and parking space than any other car around and it also sets new safety standards: the tridion safety cell is regarded as a safety milestone in the small car class. And the smart fortwo is also a pioneer in its segment in several respects with regard to drive technology. Customers can choose between petrol engines, with two engine variants featuring comfortable mhd (micro hybrid drive) start/stop technology, or the smart fortwo cdi with a diesel engine that boasts combined CO2 emissions* of 86g/km and combined fuel consumption* of 3.3 l per 100 km winning it the title of CO2 champion (energy efficiency class: B)* smart is now represented in 45 markets worldwide with the Ukraine as the latest new market. The main markets are Germany, Italy and China.

The smart fortwo electric drive has been driving without producing any local emissions ever since pilot projects in 2007. In June 2012 the electric car started rolling off the production line at smart's plant in Hambach and it is now successively going on general sale in more than 30 markets. The new model is fitted with a 55 kW magneto-electric motor the first product from the EM-motive joint venture founded together with Bosch ensuring that it is as agile and lively as ever. With torque of 130 Newton metres it accelerates powerfully from 0 to 60 km/h in 4.8 seconds, and thanks to better acceleration in the higher speed range it can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds with much more tractive power than its predecessor. A battery from the joint venture "Deutsche ACCUmotive" with Evonik Industries is fitted in the new smart fortwo electric drive for the first time. With capacity of 17.6 kWh the lithium-ion battery enables 145 kilometres of pollutant-free driving fun (combined electrical energy consumption: 15.1 kWh/100 km, combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km, energy efficiency class: A+)*. A new sales model makes opting into electric mobility particularly attractive: the sale&care model offers customers an opportunity to buy, finance or lease the vehicle at an attractive price and to rent the battery for a monthly fee. It is also possible to buy, finance or lease the vehicle including the battery. The smart ebike, which has been delivered to customers since May 2012, expands the brand's e-product portfolio to include a two-wheeler. The "pedelec" (Pedal Electric Cycle) combines an unconventional design in line with the style of the brand, functions appropriate for city use, and high technology standards whose merits include an extremely efficient high-performance drive package. In addition to the development of particularly economical vehicles, smart is part of Daimler's forward-looking mobility concepts. For example, the car2go mobility scheme is becoming ever more popular. Since its launch in 2008 the Daimler subsidiary has been the world's fastest-growing car sharing venture and the market leader in the field of fully flexible short car rentals. More than 120,000 customers have now registered for car2go in fourteen cities in Europe and North America with considerably more than two million rentals of smart vehicles (as at July 2012).

Mercedes-Benz Trucks "Trucks You Can Trust" Gottlieb Daimler sold the world's first truck in 1896. For over 100 years the name Mercedes-Benz has guaranteed trucks of highest quality. In the European and Latin American markets Mercedes-Benz Trucks has always been synonymous with reliability and economy, first-rate quality in product and service as well as global competency in customer-focused transport solutions.

This applies in equal degrees to the Actros, Axor, Antos and Atego truck lines and to the special-purpose vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Trucks. That includes the specialist for municipal, collection and short-range distribution services, the Mercedes-Benz Econic, and the universal working machine Unimog for applications in the municipal sector and the power-supply and construction industries, in road-rail service and in the forest industry, where it is deployed to fight forest fires, for example. The new off-road truck for operation in the most difficult terrain, the Mercedes-Benz Zetros, rounds off the range. Mercedes-Benz trucks traditionally have been trailblazers in the area of safety. The Safety Truck, a Mercedes-Benz Actros, combines all currently available assistance and safety systems. With Active Brake Assist the Safety Truck autonomously initiates emergency braking if a collision with a vehicle traveling ahead appears unavoidable. Other assistance systems like the Lane Assistant, roll control and proximity control complete the safety package in the Actros. In the opinion of the experts, the Safety Truck from Mercedes-Benz is the safest truck in the world at present and Mercedes-Benz is the only brand offering trucks with a system like the Active Brake Assist. It's our customers mainly who bank on the safety features of Mercedes-Benz: at the end of 2011, around 158,000 assistance systems were in operation on board Mercedes-Benz trucks.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks also is well-positioned where environmental protection is concerned: diesel engines from Daimler have become efficient, low-emission high-tech power plants through continuous development. The emissions of particulates and nitrogen oxides have declined by an average of well over 90 percent since 1990. Mercedes-Benz trucks with advanced BlueTec diesel technology combine this progress in ecology with economic benefits for the customer. The Mercedes-Benz Actros and the Mercedes-Benz Antos are now available with the latest Euro VI engines. Fuel consumption has been drastically reduced since the 1990s, for example by some 2000 liters annually in a long-haul truck. Compared with other vehicle types and measured in terms of haulage performance, the "oneliter car" is long since reality in the commercial vehicle sector. The brand with the star is a trustworthy partner to customers and business partners. With "Trucks you can trust" Mercedes-Benz Trucks stands for highest quality and reliability. This brand promise as a guideline for work in all areas is an incentive to the more than 43,000 employees of the Mercedes-Benz Trucks world organization to always deliver premium quality from development through production and sales to the service in the workshops.

Detroit Demand Performance Daimler delivers premium quality not only with its vehicles, but also with the components built in its car and commercial vehicle models. Detroit, the companys component and engine manufacturing brand in the North American market, designs, develops and supports the powertrain components that are built into different models of Daimlers commercial vehicle brands such as Freightliner Trucks and Western Star. Detroit is the only OEM that can offer a complete powertrain package, which includes industry-leading heavy-duty engines, axles and transmissions.

The brands history began in 1938. That year, General Motors formed the GM Diesel Division the ancestor to Detroit. The needs of tanks, landing craft, road building equipment and standby generators meant that the first engines had to be compact, lightweight, two-cycle products. It was during this epic time that the Detroit tradition of strength, quality and dependability was born. Meanwhile, in the late 1950's and 1960's, GM Diesel also began to focus on developing a worldwide distribution network of independent, authorized distributors and dealers to provide parts and service. In 1965, GM Diesel became Detroit Diesel Engine Division. Then, just five years later, General Motors consolidated the company with the closely allied transmission and gas turbine businesses of the Allison Division forming the Detroit Diesel Allison Division. For the next 20 years, the Detroit Diesel Allison Division grew. By 2000, Detroit Diesel was a dynamic and noted company both within the trucking industry and the investment community. In 2012, the brand was renamed "Detroit" to reinforce its strategy of offering vertically integrated powertrain-related components. Detroit draws from the extensive research and development resources from all of Daimlers global capabilities to develop its solutions. The Detroit portfolio of products for the North American market includes the Detroit DD engine family (the DD13, DD15 and DD16) equipped with BlueTec emissions technology, Daimlers global

SCR technology, which helps engines perform at their peak while providing up to five percent better fuel economy; the Detroit automated manual transmission; and Detroit axles, which cover every trucking segment. With services like Detroit Virtual Technician, and the extensive Detroit Customer Service network which provides immediate access to hundreds of authorized distributor and dealer locations Detroit is the global leader in the engine and component industry. The Detroit family of powertrain components is available across the DTNA product family, including Freightliner Trucks, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses, and Freightliner Custom Chassis platforms.

Mercedes-Benz Vans Mercedes-Benz Vans achieves outstanding product quality through perfection and great attention to detail, setting standards again and again with forward-looking innovations and excellent value retention. In this way the brand creates real added value for the customer. A Mercedes-Benz van is "well worth its price".

The product range of Mercedes-Benz Vans includes privately and commercially used vans, MPVs and camper vans. The Vito, Vario, Viano, Sprinter and marking the company's 2012 entry into the small van segment - the new Mercedes-Benz Citan urban delivery van, are a convincing proposition in the world market with their innovative safety technology, extensive range of variants, and drive systems that provide for optimum fuel consumption. With these vehicles, Mercedes-Benz Vans takes advantage of the outstanding successes of Mercedes-Benz Research and Development in the field of safety and in its holistic approach to the optimisation of consumption. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, in particular, impresses in terms of its variability, safety and environmental compatibility: three wheelbases, as many as four lengths and three roof variants are available for the Sprinter. The new-generation diesel engines with further enhanced fuel economy meet the Euro 5 standard as a matter of course and the stringent European EEV emission standard as an option. The Sprinter has also been available since 2008 with natural gas drive. The Mercedes-Benz Vito, in its many body, drive system and equipment variants, meets the demands on a compact van in the segment up to three tonnes gross vehicle weight. The Vito is the model of choice in the category of large-capacity vehicles for the trades. And the Mercedes-Benz Vario, a classic among the large vans in the weight range between 6.0 und 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight, completes the line-up of light commercial vehicles. The Citan was launched at the beginning of April 2012 in Amsterdam and will go on sale successively in the various markets from autumn 2012. With unit sales of around 700,000 per

year, the small van segment in Europe is certainly no longer a niche area within the commercial vehicle business. As is already the case in the passenger car area, the term "BlueEFFICIENCY" is used to denote Mercedes-Benz Sprinter models where sustainable technologies have been used to achieve a particularly high level of efficiency and thus optimised fuel consumption and lower emissions. The Sprinter NGT, too, sports the "BlueEFFICIENCY" badge on both its wings with pride. The battery-electric-powered Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL vehicles that the company has been manufacturing since 2011 are also evidence of a firm ambition on the part of Mercedes-Benz Vans to drive forward drive solutions for the future. Customers need not only powerful vehicles, but partners who think and act with the same professionalism as they do. An individual customer focus is all-important because every customer is different. And yet one thing applies equally to all: Mercedes-Benz Vans provides the best possible solution for everyone. Crucial to the success of the brand is the distinctive variability of the product offering, examples being the needs-adapted selection of variants (body height and length, engines, equipment), the individual options and solutions for every field, and the excellent ride comfort and ease of operation and loading. In close cooperation with renowned body builders, and under the Mercedes-Benz VanSolution logo, Mercedes-Benz offers customised vans with more than 60 different variants from one source from refrigerator vehicle to three-way dump truck. Outstanding products with high value retention, a consistently high regard for customers and business partners, and top-notch service make Mercedes-Benz Vans the premium brand in the van market segment.

In 1996, as part of a strategic product initiative, the brand enlarged its portfolio with the Mercedes-Benz Integro inter-city bus. The Citaro followed in 1997, and since then it has set the standards for economy, design, comfort and safety. 2011 saw the introduction of the new Citaro with a Euro V-compliant engine, followed a year later by the market launch of a Euro VI-compliant model in May 2012. The success story of the Mercedes-Benz Travego coach began in 1999 when it ushered in a new era in the history of coach building with its exceptionally spacious interior. This tradition was continued in 2012 with the Travego Edition 1, the first coach to feature a Euro VIcompliant drive system. The success of this model was shared by the completely revamped Tourismo coach. In 1998, Mercedes-Benz began its involvement in the minibus segment, conquering one European market after another with a wide range of innovations based on the Sprinter and Vario models. The current Mercedes-Benz minibus generation comprises the four model series Sprinter Transfer, Sprinter Travel, Sprinter City and Sprinter Mobility, with a total of 14 basic models.

Since 2004, the Mercedes-Benz Tourino, a midibus with rear engine and independent wheel suspension, has served as a link between large and small buses. With its large models, Mercedes-Benz is now increasingly focusing on intermediate lengths, for example with the Travego M. The Travego SHD (super high decker) is used in the eastern European market. Since 2007, the product range in the inter-city bus category has been rounded off by the Mercedes-Benz Intouro, which is used in eastern Europe, and in some western European countries, such as Italy and France, as a school bus. From mid-2012, it will also be used in western Europe. Mercedes-Benz is a byword for trust and safety, and offers a complete range of buses as a technology leader with full-line competence. The economic all-rounder, the Tourismo RH, closes the gap between the already established Mercedes-Benz Integro intercity bus and the super high decker, the Tourismo RHD. The engines in the new Mercedes-Benz minibuses meet both the Euro V and the EEV (Enhanced Environmentally Friendly Vehicle) emissions standards. With the Citaro LE , Tourismo M/2, Tourismo RH and Travego M, the brand covers the entire spectrum from intercity bus to touring coach. The Travego Edition 1 is the first coach to already comply with the Euro VI emissions standard in 2012. Alongside the new Citaro Euro VI, the city buses include the zero-emissions Citaro FuelCELL-Hybrid with fuel-cell hybrid drive, the Mercedes-Benz Citaro G BlueTec Hybrid, which reduces diesel consumption together with CO2 emissions by up to 30 percent, and the CapaCity extra-large urban regularservice bus. On the eastern European market, the Mercedes-Benz Conecto covers the city bus segment. As well as its comprehensive product portfolio, the Mercedes-Benz Buses brand delivers added value in the form of OMNIplus a comprehensive range of bus and coach-specific services unmatched by any competitor. A professional and global sales structure provides responsible and solution-focused support to all bus and coach customers, from major customers to smaller operators. This combination of products and services is one of the reasons why the Mercedes-Benz brand is held in such high regard.

Setra "Best in Class" "Much more so than knowledge and skill it requires passion to design a perfect bus: passion for engineering, and for the people who'll be driving the bus."

When people talk about top-flight touring coaches and rural-service buses, inevitably the name Setra will be dropped. Buses and coaches have been coming out of Ulm and NeuUlm for the past 100 years or so, first under the company name Kssbohrer, and then as Setra brand. Karl Kssbohrer (1864-1922) set up a wheelwright's shop in Ulm in 1893. The firm initially built automobile coachwork as well as bodies and superstructures for trucks. Kssbohrer puts its first bus - it was still an open-bodied design then - on the market in 1907. In 1951, on the occasion of the Frankfurt International Motor show, after long years of research and development Kssbohrer presented to the public the S 8, the first coach with a self-supporting body, rear-mounted engine, and direct drive to the rear axle. With that, Kssbohrer gave rise to a new brand: Setra. Buses and coaches of the Setra brand have always been distinguished by high comfort and safety, outstanding design, efficiency, and technical innovation. From the beginning, every Setra has been a reference point for state-of-the-art bus and coach engineering and comfort in its period. Today, Setra stands for partnership and passion in the eyes of customers and, as competence leader in the "Best in Class" bus and coach sector, meets highest demands on comfort, individuality and quality. Setra sets trends in engineering, equipment and design. With great flexibility, the brand offers individual products which are a real blue-chip investment, along with solutions which satisfy all customer requirements. As market leader, Setra strives to be best-in-class in every respect and dedicatedly pursues this objective.

Whether comfort, equipment, efficiency, design, safety or service: Setra is, and remains, Best in Class. As a brand of Daimler AG, since 1995 Setra has been a part of EvoBus GmbH, which is present in Europe and the USA, and in China through a license agreement.
