DO NOT LET ME BE PUT TO SHAME To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God.

Do not let me be pu t to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. Psalm 25:1-3 Is that your heart's cry on this Lord s Day? Please Lord, do not let me be put to s hame. I am putting all my hope and trust in You knowing that only You can defend me, as Savior and Lord of my life. Today as part of your devotions read Psalm 25 . As you read this Psalm, personalize it, as you cry out to the Lord possibly in fear of your unknown court battles or other major circumstances. Do you have s pecial Psalms that you read frequently? This is one of mine. The Lord wants you to know that He is your Refuge; cry out to Him and then trust Him that He has yo u totally covered with His feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge Ps alm 91 In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness...Let me not be put to shame, O Lord, for I have cried out t o you... Psalm 31:1, 17 After I divorced Bob due to his unfaithfulness, I felt like I had a flashing red D on my forehead showing everyone that I had failed as a wife and helpmate. I fel t such guilt and shame. Are you battling those feelings today? Be assured that y our spouse is also feeling guilt and shame, whether you see it now or not. We of ten hear from men and women sharing that their husband or wife will not even com e into their home to pick up their children. They sit in the car outside waiting for the children or they want to meet you or someone else at a different locati on. That is guilt and shame. In the darkest hours of the night when I was alone, I always turned to God's Wor d as He would so frequently speak to me through the Bible. So many different scr iptures comforted me while I was alone facing all the circumstances of being div orced and being responsible for our three children. I pray that today, regardles s of your present circumstances of financial or employment pressures, children m issing their dad/mom or health problems, you will always make time to read God's Word for His healing touch, His strength, and His direction for you every day. You must remember that your beloved husband or wife is blinded, deceived and dea f to all their moral and spiritual values to the point of not listening to the H oly Spirit even if they were believers. I pray that you write down in a journal or on the computer the special rhema scriptures that are like nuggets of gold to you when the Holy Spirit speaks to your heart. Let me share a scripture that th e Lord gave me so many years ago that is still so very special to me. I pray it will remove all your fear, encourage and increase your faith and strength in the Lord this Lord s Day: All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose y ou will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will n ot find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not f ear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:11-13 Do you have a sincere desire to be more Christ-like every day? Are you putting y our hope in the Lord and choosing to live by the truth of His Word? Thank the Lo rd for your spiritual growth and praise Him. You are blessed! Yes, you and I mus t be different than the average Sunday Christian. David was crying out to His Lo rd, and you must cry out, pleading with all your heart, hungering for His will a nd His way in your life, Lead me in Your truth and teach me Your way. Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Psalm 25:45 May you and I always know that we need to confess our sins before the Lord. He s ees and knows everything. He will not bless you or answer prayers if you have hi

dden sins in your life. Ask the Lord to search your heart and reveal concealed a reas that need to be changed in your life before your husband or wife comes home . Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See i f there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 1 39:23-24 I pray that you will walk in faith and confidence knowing that the Lord will wor k out your circumstances to bring glory and honor to His name, when you surrende r your life to Him. Yes, you may have to do it frequently, until the enemy knows you are serious. The Lord is wanting all His children to lay all our problems, our worries and our loved ones at His feet. What a perfect day to surrender ever ything to the Lord. Allow God to be your Protector and Defender as He protects y our name and reputation. Keep your eyes on your Lord believing and trusting in t he power of your Lord God. God hates divorce and He wants the best for you, your beloved husband or wife and for your marriage! Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in yo u. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.
