United States on 1/25/99 on a visitors visa. He enrolled in English language courses in
the Los Angeles area. While in the United States, Benomrane worked a variety of jobs,
including as a self-described independent taxi cab driver. He was deported on July 30,
2002.

Commission staff would like to interview Benomrane with respect to information

that he provided to the FBI just prior to his deportation - information, which after further
investigation, appears to be of uniquely significant value to our understanding of the facts
and circumstances underlying the attacks of September 11. In summary, Benomrane may
have important information about certain individuals involved with these attacks and/or
some of their associates in the United States.
