Comparative form of adjectives Usamos o comparative form of adjectives para comparar pessoas e objetos entre si. 1- Adjetivos curtos (uma ou duas slabas FONTICAS). Acrescentamos a terminao er. Ex.: Im taller than my brother. 2- Adjetivos longos (trs ou mais slabas FONTICAS)usamos, antes de colocar o adjetivo, colocamos most. Ex.: Shes beutiful. Im more beutiful than her. EXCEPTIONS Adjective Comparative Superlative good better Best Bad worse worst SPELLING 1- Short adjectives ending in vowel and consonant, we double the consonant. BIGGER FATTER

2- Short adjectives ending in y, we put the termination -ier. FUNNY = FUNNIER HAPPY= HAPPIER

Superlative form of adjectives Use Usamos o superlative form of adjectives para comparar uma pessoa ou objeto (ou pessoas e objetos) com um grupo .Geralmente usamos the antes da forma superlativa. Ex : Im the most handsome person in my family ( estou me comparando a um grupo, no caso o grupo a famlia.) 1. Short adjectives = we put the termination est in the adjective. Ex.: fat (the fattest). 2. Long adjectives = we put most before the adjective. Ex.: intelligent (the most intelligent).
