SELECTION PROCEDURE INDUSTRY SPONSORSHIP / NON RESIDENT INDIAN (NRI) QUOTA Five Seats each in the undergraduate programs are allotted for the Industry sposorship and Non-Resident Indian quota on merit basis.A separate Application for this quota along with DD for Rs.100/- should be enclosed with the Main Application. a.Industry Sponsorship A member of the Agribusiness Consortium of TNAU can nominate only one candidate for admission to Undergrdauate Program. The candidates should have minimum educational qualification prescribed for the course as in section i- a, c,d and e. Candidates from all over India are eligible to apply. ELIGIBILITY Upper age limit : 21 years Minmum Marks in the qualifying Exam in subjects as per section I-a : Open ompetition (OC) 55% agregate of all the four subjects Backward Class (BC) and 50% aggregate of all the four subjects Backward Class Muslim (BCM) Most Backward Class and 45% aggregate of all the four subjects Denotified Communities (MBC) Scheduled Caste (SC/SCA/ST) A pass in qualifying examination Any industry related to agriculture can sponsor one candidate by becoming a member of Agri Business Consortium (ABC) of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore-3. The industry willing to sponsor the candidate must produce the following documents. A letter expressing willingness to become a member in ABC addressed to: The Secretary (Agri Business Consortium) and Chairman Admissions, Agricultural College & Research Institute Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore-641 003. Documents to be furnished by the industry/organization to become a member of ABC 1. Sales Tax Registration certificate (TNGST/CST) 2. PAN No. 3. Audited Balance Sheet for the last three years 4. Income tax return statement for last three years 5. Certificate of Incorporation 6. Article of Association/Memorandum of Association Sponsorship letter (Sponsoring one candidate for admission to Under Graduate degree program indicating the degree applied).

At the time of admission the Industry should enter into MoU with TNAU by signing an agreement in Rs.20/- bond paper and remit a non refundable ABC membership fee of Rs.6.00 lakhs in the form Demand Draft drawn in favour of The COMPTROLLER, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore payable at Coimbatore. There will be a separate counseling for this quota. MOU Signing will be only after the selection in counseling and verification of necessary documents. DO NOT obtain the DD for Rs. 6.00 lakhs before signing of MOU. Candidates will be admitted based on merit from among those who applied under Industry Sponsor / NRI quota. b. NON RESIDENT INDIAN (NRI) QUOTA The cadidate can be a Non Resident Indian or Close relative of the Non Resident Indian (NRI). The candidates should have minimum educational qualification prescribed for the course as in section i- a, c,d and e. A letter sponsoring the candidate for admission to UG program indicating the degree applied. 2. Attested copy of Passport with Visa details of the sponsor. 3. Proof for NRI (to be obtained from Indian Embassy of the respective country) or copy of the Overseas Citizen of India card of the sponsor. 4. Proof of Relationship to the Candidate Candidates will be admited based on merit from among those who applied under Industry Sponsor / NRI quota.
