STAR BALM TRIUMPHS WITH AN AWARD BY THE BULGARIAN PHARMACEUTICAL UNION

The product range for muscle and joint pain relief Star Balm was pronounced the medical device of the year

The STAR BALM range was awarded the FIRST PLACE in the medical device category of this years Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union Awards. Star Balm is the only range of medicinal devices approved for use in Bulgaria for muscle and joint pain relief, unlike the multitude of similar products on the Bulgarian market which have the status of cosmetics /and are not included in the category of medicinal products/. The products in the Star Balm range are manufactured under the control of the Dutch company NOVUM PHARMA, in compliance with the requirements of the Good Manufacturing Practice. The maintenance of high European standards for the raw materials and ingredients involved, as well as the quality control in manufacturing is a guarantee for the global success of Star Balm. Two years following their premiere, in June 2011, BIOMEDA 2000 Ltd, in its capacity of exclusive representative of Novum Pharma for Bulgaria, for the first time launched the improved formula especially for Europe of the worlds best selling balm for muscle and joint pain relief - Star Balm - on the Bulgarian market. An imperative reason for the changes introduced into the traditional formula was the establishment in official scientific trials of multiple side effects of camphor in products for dermal use, increased control and restrictions for the use of camphor in dermal products. The result of the European sciencific achievements was Star Balm increased safety without reducing efficiency.

The Star Balm range consists of 12 products and is designed for muscle and joint pain relief in domestic conditions, in fitness and massage halls, in sports clubs and organizations. The Star Balm products are used in acute traumas, continuous and chronic pain, as well as for warm-up before workout. The efficiency, quality, reasonable price and large variety of application forms of Star Balm make the products attractive both to the regular customers and sportsmen in amateur and professional clubs. The prestigious award of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union Star Balm - Medical Device of the Year was handed over to Biomeda 2000 Ltd as the representative of Novum Pharma for Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union awards were presented on 29th and 30th June 2013 during the Seventh Annual Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Days. This year, the forum once again combined a conference, exposition and an official part the Master of Pharmacy Ball where the winners in the separate categories were announced. The President of the Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union (PGEU), which the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union is a member of too, Dr. Maximin Liebl / Italy, attended the forum as a formal guest as well. Biomeda 2000 Ltd thanked the competent committee for the choice of the prestigious medical device award winner. The Committee, consisting of prominent professionals in the pharmaceutical sphere, acknowledged the highest reputation of the Star Balm range in global aspect as well as in Bulgaria.
