INTRODUCTION The History of English derivation is very long to serve as the International language.

Even this language became compulsory curriculum for the whole world and the language most widely used by humans throughout human civilization. In addition, English language is also one of the official languages in international organizations like the United Nations and the International Olympic Committee, as well as the official language in many countries, such as South Africa, Belize, Philippines, Hong Kong, Ireland, Canada, Nigeria, Singapore and others. In many parts of the world English is spoken as a second language. English grammar has a variation in the structure and usage, it depends on the tradition used by a country that is influenced by the native language of that country. In general, English grammar is based on the American English and the UK English (British). There are other sources indicate why English has become the international language. This is including that English country is a developed country, and the English is the worst in many colonies around the world. Logically, English colonists who will speak English in its colonies will eventually spread the English language around the world. English is the language that has a complete and rigorous grammar which is so easy to learn.

THE IMPORTANCE OF MASTERING THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND ITS IMPACT ON EMPLOYABILITY. 2.1 English as a Global Speech.

For centuries English has been used globally. Based on historical linguistics, English has become the language to be studied in depth by linguists and language in the world. Today, wellknown by the public, most of the existing languages in this world are borrowing language from English itself. Language is spreading fast in human history, English is spoken by one in every four of us. There are close to 385 million native speakers in countries like the United States and Australia, approximately one billion speakers fluent in the formerly colonized countries such as India and Nigeria, and millions of people around the world who have studied as a second language . The importance of the English language including English is the main language of

international communication. It can be shown when the number of English speakers the world over speakers out number other major languages such as French, Spanish, Arabic, and Russian. It is undeniably true that the main language used when a person communicates with the rest of the nation is English. Mastering English does not only facilitate us in touch with the outside world but this language to ensure a smooth affair involving people of other countries. English is the most common language used among speakers of foreign languages. Around the world, when people with different languages come together they often use English to communicate. Although China and the United States are still the leaders in technical innovation and economic development, English is used in the United States and in each of these areas. English is so important is that it is the language of science. To excel in the field of science you need to know English. English alphabetical order and, compared to the Chinese, it can be learned fairly quickly. English is also the language of the film industry. This means that you are no longer have to rely on subtitles. On this day, speak English with immediate opportunities and space regardless of your ethnic color, or background. English speakers get more money than non-English speakers. Learning English will open up your job prospects and increase your standard of living.

English as a Language of Business.

Ready or not, English is the language of business. Not one or two of the English language is the language of business, but 100%! English has emerged as the language of trade and business in the past few decades, affecting many aspects of business in the modern world. English first prevalent as a result of colonial expansion, and has become the standard for all official communication important in a growing number of countries that have different native languages. Company - mega-multinational companies make English as the corporate language, and in fact, for example, Airbus, Daimler Chrysler, Fast Retailing, Nokia, Renault, Samsung, SAP, Technicolor, and Microsoft in Beijing, to name a few in order to facilitate communication and performance across geographies and functions of various business ventures. English is the main language of business. Although the official language is Bahasa Malaysia but in these areas the language frequently used business language is English. For

example, English language is used when a business is being conducted. According to the study, Bahasa Malaysia is rarely used during the course of business conducted. This is because the lack of Bahasa Malaysia exact term to express the purpose of the business. English language proficiency is not only important to ensure career success, but also an essential opportunity to ensure strong relationships in business. If English is not controlled, then business people, companies, and countries will be limited. When the business opportunity is limited, it does not only affect the national economy but also the diplomatic relations and good name of the country. Thus, English language is very important in business. 2.3 English For Internet.

English is important because it is the internet language. This is said so because people can obtain the latest information and provide command of English in the society. In fact, they are also able to understand the contents of the letters displayed in the international information transmitted via satellite or the mass media such as radio, television, and newspapers. Moreover in the era of information technology, a lot of sophisticated technology tools have been created to facilitate communication with the outside world in the web sites. So, English language should be taken seriously because this language is the language of telecommunications or internet language. English is important in information technology for various reasons. IT is used in business and is essentially the backbone of the commercial world in this world. Internet and English language are two inter-related in terms of who is able to operate the system. Many programs have been developed by IT experts drawn up in English. 2.4 Knowledge of English as a language.

We already know, the quality of English language achievement in our country is at a level that is not satisfactory and it is very noticeable. Since the implementation of the National Education Policy which eliminates the flow of the English language, proficiency in the English language students to be despaired. This is proved by the results of the examination in the previous year. Even before this, the former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad decided to require English as the medium of instruction in Science and Mathematics Year One and Form One from 2003. In the meantime, there are those who nodded their heads that English has many

advantages but there are those who shook his head that English is a colonial language. However, English as a second language should be important no matter whether in primary or secondary school for the betterment of all. So, English language plays an important role in the lives of the people. In addition, the importance of the English language is it is the language of science. This is said so because in this era of globalization and modernization, and English is the language of an important resource. For example, most books are encyclopedias, reference books, information, research and other intellectual heritage revealed in the English language. This is not a problem for those who are able to master the English language to understand the contents stated in the reading material. The question is, do you understand the contents of which we want to drive while both English language proficiency at a level that sad? The answer is always no. It is said that because of knowledge found in the literature require proficiency level optimization. With this, he saw that the English language is very important in gaining knowledge of the infinite. In conclusion, English is an international language that is very important to connect with other people, both with local communities and with the world outside. Today, the problem of vulnerability has become more serious in learning English among students regardless of primary, secondary or university level. More worrisome, the problem is spread among the Malays. As we know, most higher learning institution uses English language as the medium of instruction. But there are a handful of poor students in learning English. The cause of the problem is poor English from their thoughts are not developed. Some thought if speaking in English would always forget the Malay language is that? 3.1 Student Doesn`t Care

The students also rarely practice what they have learned English. More clearly extremely lazy students for preparing for exams and they do not apply the knowledge they have learned in the classroom. Many students are also too few read English materials, not to take cognizance of the current issues and thought they were too shallow. They have no interest in reading English newspapers and the students are too focused on their interest in the form of reading entertainment only example they are more interested in entertainment newspapers like Kosmo and Harian Metro. Students will read English materials when told to go. Normally, one will be bored when doing something with force and so the students will quickly get bored when reading something material they do not like. This factor also indirectly contributed to the weakness in capturing the English language and also weak in MUET. This is of concern because if students do not pass MUET, it is difficult for them to gain employment in the future. Besides that causes weak students master English is most of the students look English only as a subject. They learn English just to pass the exam. They also assume that the English language is a tedious and troublesome. When they think so, it is too impossible for them to take advantage of the English language. Students also do not want to train themselves for repeatedly trying to speak English to each other. Many Malays do not want to try and fear of offense. The students also have a sense of shame to speak in English. Some of them presume to speak in English language as they would be ridiculed and ostracized. This is the problem of Malay, that is afraid to taunt your friends to bring disrepute to yourself. In fact, Chinese students are more advanced and expert in English as they dare try and do not be afraid to mockeries which can weaken them. Students also do not want to change their behavior and depend solely on lecturers to develop them. Supposed to be at the university does not happen again thing like that. Students should seek their own to improve weaknesses. Students should find lecturers not seeking students. But now, most of the lecturers work to improve the students' poor command of English.

Teaching Experience

Based on one of lecturers in English, English teaching experience, he felt that the cause of poor student of English is due to the social background of students. Rural students are less prone to the use of the English language. Because of that, they are too limited for English. They also have a little knowledge of English and do not give themselves the opportunity and space to interact. Students also have less motivation on the importance of the English language. They are lazy to revise and build knowledge in terms of understanding of the English sentences difficult. This attitude of so many of the students and cause them to not want to know of a new word that was unheard of. They only rely on the existing curriculum. The students were embarrassed to say the word in English. They have no self-confidence to speak and are experiencing problems with the pronunciation of certain words correctly. Most students lack knowledge of aspects of the grammar. The simplest example when students who do not master the grammar is to write a topic in the English language cannot write a word. This fact happens to the poor Malay students master English. 3.3 Lazy to Explorer

The students also do not want to "explore" more about the English and too obsessed with language. They consider the English language difficult to understand and difficult to use in everyday life. Why university students have thought that was too shallow for this international language while English is very important to lead a person towards development. Based on some other opinion, the cause of the poor learners of English is that most of them lack of grammar, no self-confidence and lazy to do more to improve their English. Most students rely on teachers only. They seem to not want to independently own and just wait for the teachers "feed" to their knowledge. Mentality of the students are also still in the status quo and do not want to accept English as the language of science. In view of these problems are too seriously, we should think of ways to overcome the weak students. Students should strive to improve themselves. Get guidance from English lecturers when having problems in English, attend English classes and augment the language English literature and English grammar. Students should also have the idea that mature in an issue to facilitate the students elaborate detail. Multiplication also read English terms to enhance

proficiency in English. The students do not severely restrict their thinking if you want to know how to master the English language. Certainly we cannot deny that English has a great importance in our lives especially to students. English is very important to qualify that we are on par with the era globalization in present and future. We should especially students should have the awareness of the English language does not mean that we uphold the language "colonial", but to bring us on par with today's progress. English remains sovereign in the hearts of the Malays, and there is no reason for us to not be proficient in English as others. The saying goes "To a thousand forces, do not want a thousand excuses." Only a lazy person does not want to change himself. 4.0 SUGGESTION In this world, nothing is impossible for us to do. While unbelievers can master the Arabic language, why we cannot master the English language? All this started from ourselves. "Where there's a will, there is a way". Who does he work so successful. All deeds and efforts of our lives is driven by our inner thoughts and. Located in our inner judgment between good and bad, beautiful or offensive. Meanwhile Islam strongly encourages its followers to love and strive to advance themselves. We are given intellect to assess the good and the bad. Students of tertiary institutions should take the initiative to master more mastering the English language on par with the students of other universities. Actually what cause we are not successful mastering English is because of our education system which is still using the old system. What minimum, the system used in primary schools especially are still using the same system with English learning system. All students from Year 1 again continue to be taught the skill that is listening, speaking, reading and writing (write). Are they did not know that English is a foreign language that is rarely heard or had never heard of these students? Do not compare with students in the city. Indeed, there is grumbling among English teachers that in order to enable their students master English, the students should have a basic vocabulary and simple grammar in advance. But the education policy makers do not agree with this way. Inspectors often comes monitor warns teachers not to teach English grammar or treasury separately. So how can students understand

what is heard, speak, read and write in English if they do not have enough vocabulary and grammar do not master English? However, in English it does not matter because it is the main language of our country, so their vocabulary and grammar are already strong. Dictionary English - English should be used as one of the required books to be owned by a university student, with this kind of online dictionary, students who did not master the most vocabulary says will be able to realize the problems they were facing and trying to conquer it. On this day, the subjects learned Bahasa Inggeris Proficiency required by university students to identify students who do not master the English language. In fact, there are many subjects that can be attributed to the English language as the alternative used to ensure that university students with good command of English. Lecturers should be more creative, friendly and facilitators in motivating students easily mastered the English language in a short period. Delivery techniques and specific methods should be used for those purposes. Practice giving praise or rewards not only be given to students in primary or secondary. Several studies have consistently shown that people who have an advanced knowledge of English is more likely to advance in their careers. This study has also shown that learning English will lead to higher wages. Learn and speak English is important to me because it is the best way I communicate, learn and understand the culture of different nations and countries. English is the international language and the lingua franca of the English learning help us to find a job, get new experiences, explore the world and meet new friends. 5.0 CONCLUSION In conclusion, English is the language of much to be learned and mastered by all students. A person who is able to master the language will be more confident and able to seize the opportunities available either at the national level or at the level of the nation. However, no matter how important even the English language is used by the international community in the use of Bahasa Malaysia as the country's official language is necessary to be preserved and enhanced prestige. We do not want our official language extinction due to our carelessness English glorify like Malay proverb says "YANG DIKEJAR TAK DAPAT YANG DIKANDUNG KECICIRAN.
