Remember:
Use transitional words and signal phrases when integrating quotes. Use brackets to change case, punctuation, and tense when necessary to maintain the grammatical integrity of the sentence with which you insert a quote. It is unnecessary to include ellipses in brackets at the beginning of a quote. Paraphrases and summaries must document sources as well; the authors of the information must be made evident either in a signal phrase or the citation and the page numbers must always be included in the parenthetical. You must indicate credentials of source; who are they, what makes them an expert, why is their information relevant? Improperly or inadequately citing sources is plagiarism. Know how to cite a work within a work; give credit to the correct person. End-marks come after the parenthetical. EXACT PHRASING MUST BE IN QUOTATION MARKS YOU CAN NOT USE THE SAME SENTENCE STRUCTURE AS THE ORIGINAL
